PSEB Class 5th Exam Date 2026 - Exam Dates, Admit Card, Pattern, Syllabus, Question Paper & Result

PSEB Class 5th Exam 2026: The State Council of Educational Research and Training (SCERT), Punjab will conduct the Punjab Board Class 5 exam 2026 in pen-paper mode. The Punjab board class 5 exams are expected to be held in March 2026. The board will soon announce the PSEB class 5 exam dates in online mode. Once the exam dates are out, students can download it from the official website of SCERT Punjab. 

Earlier, the the Punjab School Education Board (PSEB) used to conduct the class 5 board exams in Punjab. However, now the 5th class students will be evaluated as per the Learning Outcome Evaluation System (LOES), and will be tested in Punjabi, English, Hindi, Maths and Environmental Sciences.

Punjab Board Class 5 students who are appearing for the board exams 2026 can download the subject-wise syllabus PDF from the official website of the Punjab School Education Board - pseb.ac.in. They can also download model question papers for comprehensive exam preparation.

The Punjab Board results are announced at school level since 2025. Students will be able to check the PSEB Class 5th result from their respective schools.  PSEB Class 5th marksheet will cotain necessary details such as name of the student, roll number, parents’ name, school name, total score, subject-wise marks. Last year, the Punjab board conducted the PSEB Class 5th exams from March 7 to 13, 2025 and the result was announced on March 30, 2025. The overall pass percentage was 99.54%.

Punjab Board Class 5th Date Sheet 2026: Steps to download

Students can download the PSEB board class 5 schedule 2026 by following the steps provided below.

Step 2: On the homepage, click on "PSEB Class 5 Date Sheet 2026".

Step 3: The pdf file containing the PSEB examination dates and subjects will be displayed on the screen.

Punjab Board 5th Class Admit Card 2026

The Punjab Board will release the admit cards for Class 5th Board exams a few days before the commencement of the exams. School authorities/Principals/Heads managed the download and distribution of admit cards which were collected by students from respective school premises.

The Punjab Board Class 5th admit card contains significant details including student’s name, name of the school, exam roll number, name of the board, subjects, date and timings of the exam, exam venue, and important exam day instructions. The admit card is an essential document that the students must preserve carefully.

Punjab Board Class 5th Exam Pattern 2026

The Punjab board has released the weightage of marks for PSEB 5th class board exams. For each subject, 80 marks are assigned for the Theory paper while 20 marks are assigned for Continuous and Comprehensive Evaluation (CCE). The marks distribution is provided in the following table. 

PSEB 5th Class Syllabus 2026

The Punjab board releases the PSEB 5th class syllabus for each academic session online at pseb.ac.in. Students can download the syllabus in PDF format and refer to it for exam preparation. Along with this, the examination conducting body also released the scheme of the studies. According to the official marking scheme, it is compulsory to get minimum 33% marks in total of theory and CCE provided that the candidate has obtained minimum 25% in theory of each subject. Health and Physical Education is a practical / activity based subject, for which examination and Evaluation will be done at school level.

The Punjab School Education Board (PSEB) will release the PSEB 5th class result 2026 after the successful completion of the exams, tentatively in March 2026. Students must enter their roll number and name to access the marksheet. The image of previous year's result portal has been provided below.

PSEB 5th Exam 2026: Important guidelines

Students are advised to go through the important exam day guidelines mentioned below:

• Students must carry their PSEB class 5th admit cards and valid ID proofs with them on the day of examination. 
• They must reach the examination centre at least 30 minutes before the stipulated time.
• Students must strictly avoid bringing any type of electronic devices such as mobile phones, calculators, or smart watches into the exam hall.
• Use of only black or blue ink pens is permitted while writing the examination.
• Students must carefully read the important instructions provided on the admit card by the exam authorities.
