ISC Class 12 Exam Pattern 2024

ISC 12th Exam Pattern 2024 is released on the official website of the Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations (CISCE). Students studying for the ISC 12th board exam need to be familiar with the format of the various subject exams. Group I, Group II, and Group III are the three groups into which the subjects are split. It's essential to keep in mind that Group I's four subjects are all mandatory.

CISCE conducts the ISC 12th exam in pen and paper mode only. The duration for most of the exams is 3 hours. CISCE has successfully conducted the board exam for the 2022-23 session. The ISC 12th result 2024 will likely be released in May 2024. However, students who will take the examination next year can check the updated exam pattern & syllabus of Class 12. ISC 12th Exam Pattern 2023-24

According to the ISC 12th exam pattern, subjects in Groups I and II also include 20% of their total marks for the internal exam, whereas Group III subjects include 50% of their total marks for the internal exam. English is a necessary subject, and students are obliged to select a maximum of six subjects from each of the three groupings. Candidates must select the optional subjects during the registration procedure. It should be emphasised that after the subjects have been selected, there will be no room for alteration.

ISC 12th Subject-wise Exam Pattern

English	Paper 1 (Theory): 80 Marks There will be four sections in the paper: Section 1: Composition needs to be written by students in 400-500 words Section 2: Directed writing, Proposal Writing based on a given situation Section 3: Short-answer questions on grammar Section 4: Grammar
History	The question paper will be divided into two parts: Part 1: Short answer questions will be asked in the exam (20 marks) Part 2: Long form questions will be asked in this section (60 marks)
Physics	The physics paper will be of 70 marks and questions will be asked from the following topics like Current Electricity, Dual Nature of Radiation & Matter, Atoms & Nuclei, Electronic Devices, Electromagnetic Waves, Electromagnetic Induction, and others
Chemistry	The paper will comprise 3 units. Unit 1: 25 Marks Unit 2: 20 Marks Unit 3: 25 Marks
Biology	The Biology paper will be of 70 marks and questions will be asked from Biology & Human Welfare, Ecology & Environment, Biotechnology and its applications, Reproduction, and Genetics & Evolution.
Mathematics	The paper consists of 3 sections where Section 1 is compulsory, while there is a choice between section 2 & section 3 Section 1: 65 Marks Section 2/Section 3: 15 Marks
Accounting	The paper will of 80 marks with a duration of 3 hours
