Koneru Lakshmaiah Education Foundation University, Hyderabad commonly known as KL College of Engineering was established in 1981 by Er.Koneru Lakshmaiah, and Er.Koneru Satyanarayana on the Buckingham Canal of river Krishna.

Spread across a wide campus of 100 acres and built within a rural setting and also called ‘Green Fields’ for its pristine beauty.

KL College of Engineering is deemed to be a university with NAAC A++ accreditation. KL College was declared as a category I institution by UGC, Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD) in 2019. The college recently inaugurated its second off campus in A.Y. 2023-2024  Malkajgiri District of Greater Hyderabad.

According to the latest NIRF rankings of 2024, KL university has been ranked 22 amongst all universities in India and 40 in the overall ranking in India.

The online Admission 2024 for various UG and PG courses in KLEF are closed, candidates interested can apply online for admissions 2025 by registering themselves through the official website. The admission 2025 will be based on KIEE (Koneru Lakshmaiah Entrance exam).

KLEF is equipped with numerous facilities and has an infrastructure equipped to fulfill all student needs. Koneru Lakshmaiah Education Foundation University has various colleges providing a wide range of courses. • Hostels: Koneru Lakshmaiah Educational Institute provides hostels, situated inside the campus. Two state of the art facilities, girls hostels with advanced infrastructure like stationary, laundry, power backup, kitchen etc are available with facilities. Four boys hostels with similar facilities are situated inside the campus.

• Library: KLEF provides a central library and reading hall for concentrated learning for students. The library has a collection of 1,95000 books and 32,000 non-book material including databases for diverse areas of study.

• Data Centre: Being a technological university the institution is well equipped with a data center which provides ease of access to students in the research domain. The data center with advanced servers provide high interactivity learning to students.

• Sports Facilities:  KLEF has a 3000 sq.ft indoor stadium providing an arena for different sports. Apart from Indoor stadium outdoor sports facilities are also available. 

• Transportation:  The university has a bus network covering all prominent points in Vijayawada, Guntur and also areas around the cities. KLEF also provides in-campus transportation to students. With a  network of 84 AC/Non-AC buses.

• Other Facilities: Other facilities like cafeteria, health center, open air theater, counseling assistance are also included in the university infrastructure.
