HTET Exam 2026: Exam Dates (Postponed), Admit Card, Syllabus, Exam Pattern & Preparation

HTET Exam 2026: The Board of Secondary Education, Haryana (BSEH) has postponed the Haryana Teacher Eligibility Test (HTET) 2026 examination. The HTET exam 2026 is now likely to be held in the last week of January 2026, although no official confirmation has been released by the exam conducting body regarding the new HTET exam dates. The BSEH will soon announce the new exam dates for the HTET 2026 on its official website -  bseh.org. Earlier the HTET 2026 exam was scheduled to be held on January 17 and 18, 2026. 

HTET 2026 registration process was extended till January 5, 2026. Now the last date to submit the HTET 2026 application form is January 5, 2026 before midnight. Earlier the last date to submit the application form was January 4, 2026. BSEH officially released the Haryana Teacher Eligibility Test (HTET) 2026 appplication form on December 24, 2025 at official website, bseh.org.in. The HTET exam 2026 is tentatively scheduled to be held on January 17 and 18, 2026. Once the registration window closes, the BSEH will open an application correction window for candidates.

Before applying for the HTET exam, candidates must check the HTET eligibility criteria 2026. Candidates can find the eligibility criteria for all three levels on the HTET official website. Candidates who meet the basic eligibility requirements specified by BSEH are ones who will be able to fill out the HTET application form 2026. Once the HTET 2026 registration process is over, BSEH will open an application correction window from January 4 to 5, 2026. The HTET 2026 exam is conducted at three levels. Level-I is for primary teachers who teaches class I to V, Level-II is for Trained Graduate Teachers who teaches Classes VI to VIII and lastly Level-III which is for Post Graduate Teacher which teaches Classes IX to XII.

The Board of School Education, Haryana, has released the notification for the Haryana Teacher Eligibility Test in online mode. Along with the release of the notification, the conducting body has began the online application for the exam. HTET Exam 2026

The BSEH has released an official HTET notification containing all the important information related to the exam. HTET level 1 (PRT) exam is for those candidates who are willing to teach students at Elementary level (classes 1 to 5), HTET level 2 (TGT) is for candidates who wish to teach students at Secondary level (classes 6 to 8)  and HTET level 3 (PGT) is for candidates who wish to teach at Senior Secondary level, that is, classes 9 to 12. 

Since the three levels are different from one another, the HTET syllabus laid by the BSEH is also different. Candidates must know that the teacher’s eligibility test is conducted as per the guidelines issued by the National Council for Teacher Education or the Department of School Education in Haryana. It is necessary to take the HTET exam in order to apply for teaching positions in government schools in Haryana. 

Haryana TET Application Form 2026 

Candidates should first check HTET 2026 eligibility criteria before applying for the exam. HTET application form 2026 is available on the official website. Candidates need to visit the HTET website to register online. The application process consists of multiple steps such as filling in the details, uploading the documents and paying the fees. 

Applicants must know that the HTET application fees is different for all three levels and varies for candidates belonging to different categories. Candidates can take a look at the HTET application fees for all three levels in the table below. 

HTET Admit Card 2026 

Only those candidates who will successfully register for the HTET exam will be eligible to download the HTET Admit Card 2026. Candidates need to visit the HTET login page to check and download the hall ticket, once issued. It must be noted that the admit card will be released separately for each level. The HTET admit card 2026 will not be sent via post to the candidates. 

HTET admit card 2026 is an important document containing details such as candidate's name, date of birth, parents' name, date and time of exam and address of exam venue. Upon downloading the HTET hall ticket, candidates must carefully review the details mentioned on it. It is mandatory for candidates to carry the admit card with them on the day of the exam. Without the admit card, candidates will not be allowed to enter the exam hall.

HTET Exam Pattern 2026

HTET Result 2026 

The Board of Secondary Education, Haryana, releases the HTET result 2026 in online mode. Once the results are declared, candidates can check the details on the HTET official website. The conducting body also releases other information related to the exam, such as the number of candidates registered, the number of candidates qualified, and the overall pass percentage. HTET Qualifying Marks 2026 

Along with the results, BSEH also releases HTET qualifying marks. The qualifying marks are the minimum marks that candidates must attain to qualify in each stage.
