UPPSC Eligibility 2024: The Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission, or UPPSC, is in charge of holding a number of state-level civil service examinations in the state of Uttar Pradesh. UPPSC Eligibility 2024

• To be eligible for UPPSC, Applicants must be citizens of India, Nepal, or Bhutan, or have migrated to India as a refugee from Tibet prior to January 1, 1962.
• The candidate must be between the ages of 21 and 40 in order to apply for the exam.
• Applicants must be physically qualified for the position for which they are applying.
• A Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or other institution is required of applicants.
• Students must also be fluent in the Hindi language.

UPPSC Eligibility 2024: Age Limit

The exam authorities have set an upper and a lower age limit in order to be eligible for the test. It is important that applicants fall within this defined age limit or else they will be exempted from taking the exam. Following are the minimum and maximum age limit criteria for UPPSC:

• Lower Age Limit: 21 years old

Note: In order to be eligible for the age relaxation facility, applicants must have the domicile of UP. Moreover, The category certificate from the appropriate authorities must be produced by the individual requesting a seat reservation or/and age relaxation.

UPPSC Eligibility 2024: Nationality

Any applicant who is planning to register for the exam must be a citizen of India. Those who are not settled in India and do not have proper documentation to prove they are Indians, will not be allowed to register for the exam and attempt it. 

UPPSC Eligibility 2024: Educational Qualification

As the exam authorities offer various job posts, every post requires a certain level of qualification. This means that different job roles have different qualification requirements. However, some general qualifications that are mandatory for UPPSC include-

• The applicant must acquire a bachelor's degree from an accredited institution that has received state or federal government approval and must be relevant to the preferred position.
• For certain posts, applicants must have additional qualifications in the form of a diploma or master's degree. For example, to be a Prosecuting Officer, the applicant must have a valid degree in law.
• Candidates may also apply for the exam if they are in their final semester or are awaiting the announcement of the results. Nonetheless, they must present their last semester's grade report.

UPPSC Eligibility 2024: Physical Standards 

For some positions, physical requirements will apply in accordance with service rules or regulations set by UPPSC. Some of the job posts that would require candidates to meet the prescribed physical standards include-

• Excise Inspector
• Deputy Jailor
• Deputy Superintendent of Police (D.S.P)
• District Commandant Home Guards

Note: These standards are subjective and may vary according to different job roles and categories. For instance, For candidates from ST and racial groups like Gorkhas, Kumaonis, and Gardhwalis applying for the position of RFO, the Commission has relaxed the height requirements a little.
