Age Criteria 

The age limit criteria varies depending on the candidate's category. It is important to remember that Ex-Servicemen candidates can avail the age relaxation available to ex-servicemen or ONGC departmental (if applicable) or reserved category. ONGC Recruitment through GATE 2025:  Selection Process

The ONGC Recruitment Process takes into account the candidate' s GATE 2025 performance, education qualifications and their performance in the Personal Interview. It is essential that the eligible candidate must have papers in GATE 2025 and qualify the criterias of GATE Eligibility. 

ONGC will use the GATE 2025 score in the relevant subject to shortlist candidates for the Personal Interview, at a ratio of 1:5, based on management's criteria. Here's the weightage that shall be assigned to the parameters.

ONGC Online Application Form: Steps to fill

Eligible and interested candidates can register for the online recruitment process at ongcindia.com. The portal will tentatively accept applications from Late February to Early March, 2025. Candidates can only apply for one post and must register their email/phone number into the portal. Here are the steps that must be followed to apply for the ONGC recruitment. 

  • Go to the ONGC Recruitment Portal via the link on the official ONGC website, ongcindia.com. 
  • Click on "New Applicants" and enter the GATE 2022 registration number, email ID, and mobile number as used in the GATE application. An OTP will be sent to the registered email and mobile. Enter the OTP to proceed.
  • After verifying the OTP, candidates will be directed to the application form. Fill in all required details, including the educational qualifications. Upload a photo with your signature, and save the form as you go. 
  • Candidates can preview your form and make changes if needed before final submission. Save or print the form for future use.

For General/OBC/EWS candidates, Rs. 300 is the registration fee which can be paid through payment options like Net Banking, Debit/Credit Card, BHIM UPI. Whereas SC/ST/PwBD candidates are provided application fee relaxation and can simply submit the form without payment.
