ONGC Recruitment 2025: The Oil and Natural Gas Corporation Limited (ONGC) is a public sector enterprise and the largest crude oil and natural gas producer in India. ONGC has announced a total of 109 vacancies for the recruitment of Assistant Executive Engineers (AEE) for class 1 executive positions (E1) level in engineering and geoscience disciplines. Every year, ONGC offers candidates the chance to join the organisation as Class I executive through their GATE Exam scores. Candidates can apply for various posts under the Geoscience and Engineering discipline such as Geophysicist (Wells) and Assistant Executive Engineer (AEE) in Production, Mechanical, Drilling, etc.

Latest Updates:

• ONGC released the official notification for the ONGC recruitment 2025 through CBT mode on January 10 and started the registration process in online mode. Interested candidates can register themselves by January 24, 2025 through the official website - ongcindia.com. 
• ONGC admit card 2025 released on February 12, 2025, released on the official website.
• The ONGC exam 2025 is scheduled on February 23, 2025 in a written mode.

ONGC 2025 - Steps to apply

Candidates can fill out their ONGC application form 2025 by visiting the official website - ongcindia.com. It must be noted that candidates can apply for only one post for which he/she is most desirous, based on his/her qualification. In case of multiple applications from a candidate, the latest one will be considered as final and older applications will be rejected. 

Before applying for the ONGC 2025, candidates should keep the following details ready with them.

• Mobile number and E-mail ID
• Scanned copy of recent passport size photograph with white background in jpg/jpeg format (Size - 20kb-50 kb only)
• Scanned copy of candidate's signature
• Degree certificate
• Consolidated marksheet
• Photo identity proof (Aadhar card, Passport, Driving Licence, Voter ID card)
• PAN card

ONGC 2025 Recruitment: Eligibility Criteria

Candidates applying for certain posts must be aware of the minimum eligibility requirements. Here’s a breakdown of the education requirements and age limit criteria that aspirants can refer to. 

Minimum Education Requirements

It is compulsory for candidates to have appeared in the relevant GATE paper in order to apply for a post. Candidates can find the minimum eligibility requirements for the posts, their essential qualifications/experience and the corresponding GATE Subject that the candidate must have qualified here. 

Age Criteria 

The age limit criteria varies depending on the candidate's category. It is important to remember that Ex-Servicemen candidates can avail the age relaxation available to ex-servicemen or ONGC departmental (if applicable) or reserved category. The candidate can either avail relaxation of departmental or ex-servicemen, but not both. Check the category wise age limit here.

ONGC Recruitment through GATE 2025:  Selection Process

The ONGC Recruitment Process takes into account the candidate' s GATE 2025 performance, education qualifications and their performance in the Personal Interview. It is essential that the eligible candidate must have papers in GATE 2025 and qualify the criterias of GATE Eligibility. 

• Candidates must be citizens of India.
• Candidates must secure a minimum of 60% marks in the qualifying examination.

ONGC will use the GATE 2025 score in the relevant subject to shortlist candidates for the Personal Interview, at a ratio of 1:5, based on management's criteria. Here's the weightage that shall be assigned to the parameters.

Candidates who can provide proof during the document verification that they have completed higher education by July 31, 2025 will be awarded higher marks. The marking scheme for qualifications is shown in the table below.

ONGC 2025 Online Application Form: Steps to fill

Eligible and interested candidates can register for the online recruitment process at ongcindia.com. The portal will accept applications January 2025. Candidates can only apply for one post and must register their email/phone number into the portal. Here are the steps that must be followed to apply for the ONGC recruitment. 

• Go to the ONGC Recruitment Portal via the link on the official ONGC website, ongcindia.com. 
• Click on "New Applicants" and enter the GATE 2025 registration number, email ID, and mobile number as used in the GATE application. An OTP will be sent to the registered email and mobile. Enter the OTP to proceed.
• After verifying the OTP, candidates will be directed to the application form. Fill in all required details, including the educational qualifications. Upload a photo with your signature, and save the form as you go. 
• Candidates can preview your form and make changes if needed before final submission. Save or print the form for future use.

For General/OBC/EWS candidates, Rs. 300 is the registration fee which can be paid through payment options like Net Banking, Debit/Credit Card, BHIM UPI. Whereas SC/ST/PwBD candidates are provided application fee relaxation and can simply submit the form without payment.   

ONGC 2025 Recruitment: Documents Required 

It is advisable to keep all the documents required during the ONGC Recruitment Process ready for a smooth application process. Candidates can avail relaxation during the ONGC recruitment process only if they provide the required documents for verification. Here’s a list of documents needed for completing the ONGC Registration.

• Scanned Photograph with Signature 

A recent passport-size colour photo with a white background. The signature should be on a small white sheet placed just below the photo. The file size should not exceed 70 KB.

• Qualification Certificates 

Candidates must keep their educational qualification certificates ready for upload.

• Caste/PwBD/EWS Certificates

If applicable, have the caste, PwBD, or EWS certificates available. These should include details about the community, state, and district.
