MPSC recruitment for the Police Sub Inspector post is ongoing with October 3, 2023, as the last date of registration. Candidates who fulfil the eligibility requirements may fill out the application form on or before the last day of registration. A total of 615 vacancies have been released for MPSC PSI Recruitment 2023. MPSC PSI exam is scheduled to be conducted on  December 02, 2023.

MPSC recruitment for PSI is conducted in 4 stages: Prelims, Mains, Physical Test, and Interview. Candidates must pass all these stages in order to get the post of Police Sub Inspector in Maharashtra Police. Candidates must have a bachelor’s degree in any discipline from a recognised university or institution in order to apply for the exam. The maximum age limit to apply for the MPSC PSI post is 31 years for general category candidates. Those from the reserved category receive an age relaxation as per rules laid down by the state government.

MPSC Recruitment Exam Pattern

MPSC PSI recruitment is conducted in 4 stages: Prelims, Mains, Physical Test, and Interview. The exam pattern for each stage is below:

MPSC Recruitment: Prelims Exam Pattern

• All the questions are objective-type
• Questions will be asked in English & Marathi
• Each question carries 1 mark
• There is a negative marking of 0.25 marks for every wrong answer

MPSC Recruitment: Mains Exam Pattern

• MPSC PSI Mains exam consists of 2 papers: Paper 1 & Paper 2
• Both papers contain 100 questions
• Each question in Paper 1 & Paper 2 carries 2 marks.
• There is also a negative marking of 0.5 marks for every wrong answer.
• The duration of both papers is 1 hour.
