Bihar Police SI Recruitment 2023, 1275 SI Vacancy, Pattern

Bihar Police SI registration is to start from October 5, 2023. The official notification has already been released by the Bihar Police Subordinate Service Commission (BPSSC). Candidates who fulfil the eligibility criteria for BPSSC SI can apply for the exam. The last date to fill out the application form is November 5, 2023. The official exam date is yet to be announced by the commission. 

Candidates who belong to the General/EWS/OBC category are required to pay an application fee of INR 700 to successfully complete the BPSSC SI application form. Female students and SC/ST category students, however, are required to pay INR 400 as an application fee. 

A total of 1275 Sub Inspector posts have been released in Bihar Police. The minimum age requirement for the post of Sub Inspector in Bihar Police is 20 years. Candidates are eligible to apply for BPSSC SI till the age of 37 years. Moreover, female candidates have an age relaxation of 3 years.

Educational Qualification

• Students must have a bachelor’s degree in any discipline from a recognised university or institute to apply for the BPSSC SI exam.
• Candidates in the final year of their bachelor’s degree are also eligible to apply for the exam.

Age Limit

• The minimum age limit to apply for the Bihar Police SI post is 20 years
• The maximum age limit to apply for the BPSSC SI post is 37 years.
• Female candidates can apply till the age of 40 years.

BPSSC SI application form has been released on October 5, 2023. Students who fulfil the above-mentioned eligibility criteria can apply for the exam. The last date to apply for the exam is November 5, 2023.

• The Bihar Police Subordinate Services Commission (BPSSC) has released a notification (Advt No. 02/2023) for Sub Inspector (SI) recruitment in 2023. 
• Online applications are invited from candidates from 05/10/2023 to 05/11/2023.

Bihar Police SI Exam Pattern 2023

The Bihar Police SI exam is divided into prelims, mains, personal interview, and physical fitness tests. Candidates have to pass all the stages of the selection process in order to get the post of Sub Inspector. The stage-wise exam pattern for BPSSC SI is as follows:

BPSSC SI Personal Interview

Candidates who pass the Bihar Police SI mains exam will appear for the Personal Interview round. The interview round is qualifying in nature. Candidates are required to just qualify the exam. In other words, marks scored by candidates in Personal Interview will not be taken into consideration for creating the final merit list.
