CEED 2026 - IIT Bombay has released the CEED 2026 final answer key and question paper for Part A on January 28, 2026. Candidates can check and download their final answer key from the official website - ceed.iitb.ac.in.

CEED Exam 2026 - The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Bombay has released the the CEED 2026 final answer key and question paper for Part-A on January 28, 2026. Those who appeared for the CEED exam 2026 can now check and download their final answer key along with question paper from the official website - ceed.iitb.ac.in. The UCEED 2026 draft answer key for Part A was released on January 19, 2026. Candidates were advised to go through the CEED 2026 question paper and draft answer key and sumbit their queries if any, through the candidate portal. Applicants could raise challenge against the CEED 2026 draft answer key till January 22, 2026 by 5:00 PM.  Any comments made by candidate against the draft answer key through email were not entertained by the examination body.

IIT Bombay conducts the Common Entrance Examination for Design (CEED) exam for students who wish to secure admission to postgraduate and doctoral design courses such M.Des and PhD. CEED exam scores are accepted by several IITs such as IIT Bombay, IIT Delhi, IIT Guwahati, IIT Hyderabad, IIT Jodhpur, IIT Kanpur, IIT Roorkee and other top institutes like IISc Bangalore, IIITDM Jabalpur and IIITDM Kacheepuram.

IIT Bombay has released the CEED 2026 admit card on January 2, 2026 on the official website. Also a rectification window was opened till January 8, 2026 for candidates who had any discrepancies in their admit card. The CEED 2026 exam is scheduled to be held on January 18, 2026. IIT Bombay released the CEED 2026 application form on October 1, 2025 and the registration process continued till October 31, 2025. 

Aspirants preparing for the CEED 2026 must be aware of the exam pattern and syllabus. As per the CEED exam pattern, the question paper consists of two parts - Part A and Part B. The first part carries 150 marks, while the second carries 100 marks. The Part B is offline; students have to answer them in the booklet provided by the invigilator. CEED Syllabus 2026 includes topics like Visualization and spatial reasoning, Practical and scientific knowledge, Environment and society, and many others. CEED Eligibility Criteria 2026

IIT Bombay has specified the detailed eligibility requirements to appear for the CEED exam 2026 in the official brochure release by IIT Bombay. As per the CEED eligibility criteria, students must have a graduation degree in a relevant discipline in order to appear for the exam. Students who have passed the GD Arts diploma programme (10+5 level) are also eligible for the exam.

It must also be noted that for final admission, students must fulfil the eligibility criteria of their desired institute or college as it may vary from the ‘generic’ eligibility requirements. 

There is no age limit to appear for CEED. Also, a candidate can appear for CEED any number of times.

CEED Registration 2026

The Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay started the CEED 2026 registration process on October 1, 2025 and the last date to apply for the exam was October 31, 2026. Candidates who meet the required eligibility criteria can fill out the registration form through official website - ceed.iitb.ac.in. To successfully register for the exam, applicants have to sign up with their valid Email ID and password. They must also have to pay the required application fee.

The CEED application fee for all categories is as follows: 

CEED admit card has been released by IIT Bombay on January 2, 2026. It is mandatory to carry a print copy of the hall ticket. Applicants must verify the details mentioned on it and report to the official authorities if any error persists. 

The exam pattern for CEED 2026 is outlined in the official brochure released by IIT Bombay. Candidates can check the exam structure below: 

  • There are two parts in the CEED exam - Part A and Part B
  • Part A consists of three sections - Sections 1, 2, and 3
  • Sections 1, 2, and 3 include question type of Numerical Answer Type (NAT), Multiple Select Questions (MSQs), and Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs), respectively.
  • Part B has a total of 5 questions from Sketching, Creativity, Form Sensitivity, Visual Sensitivity, and Problem Identification.
  • Part B carries 100 marks, while Part A carries 150 marks

The detailed CEED Syllabus is released by IIT Bombay on the official website. For the year 2026, the syllabus will be released along with the notification. As of now, no changes are expected in the syllabus. Based on the previous year trend, below are the topics from where questions will be asked in the exam:

After the challenges are submitted by candidates against the provisional CEED answer key, IIT Bombay releases the result at - ceed.iitb.ac.in. The CEED result is released in the form of a scorecard which can be downloaded by candidates using their login details. 

  • Marks obtained by candidates in Part A will be used for shortlisting.
  • Shortlisted candidates will then be evaluated in Part B.
  • Part B of CEED consists of subjective questions with no model solutions. Evaluation will be holistic based on the criteria specified in each question.
  • There is no provision for re-evaluation or re-totalling in CEED. Requests for re-evaluation or re-totalling will not be considered under any circumstances.
  • The final CEED score will be calculated by assigning a 25% weightage to marks obtained in Part A and a 75% weightage to marks obtained in Part B.
