Candidates are shortlisted based on scores from exams such as CAT, XAT, CMAT, MAT, ATMA, GMAT, or respective State Common entrance tests. The total fee for the two-year PGDM course at NDIM is INR 10,60,000.

For the general category, a minimum of 50% in graduation is essential, whereas reserved category applicants should have at least 45%. Selection for the program hinges on performance in exams like CAT, XAT, CMAT, MAT, ATMA, GMAT, or relevant State Common entrance tests.

The institution adopts a comprehensive approach to its final selection process. It evaluates academic performance in graduation, 12th grade, and 10th grade. Additionally, scores from CAT, XAT, CMAT, MAT, ATMA, GMAT, or State Common entrance tests play a role. The process further encompasses Group Discussions and Personal Interviews.
