IPMAT 2026: Application Form (Extended), Exam Date, Eligibility, Admit Card, Exam Pattern

IPMAT 2026: The Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Indore has extended the Integrated Programme in Management Aptitude Test (IPMAT) registration process 2026. Candidates can apply for the IPMAT exam 2026 until March 17, 2026. Previously, the last date to submit the IPMAT application form 2026 was March 14, 2026. The IPMAT exam 2026 will be conducted on May 4, 2026, in the afternoon shift. Candidates who still need to apply can visit the official website and complete the form before the deadline. Before filling out the IPMAT 2026 application form, candidates must go through the IPMAT eligibility criteria. 

IPMAT 2026 is an aptitude test for candidates seeking admission to IIMs' five-year integrated programme in management. The IIM will release the IPMAT admit card 2026 a few days before the examination. The admit card will contain important details related to the exam. The IPMAT 2026 exam will have 90 questions to be attempted in 120 minutes. Each correct answer fetches 4 marks and one negative mark for the incorrect ones.

IIM Indore will release the IPMAT answer key soon after the exam. The exam body will also open the challenge window for the candidates to raise objections. The Candidates can expect the IPMAT Result in June 2026. The IPMAT Indore scores are used by IIM Ranchi, NALSAR Hyderabad, IIFT New Delhi, and Alliance University, Karnataka, to admit candidates to their integrated programmes. 

IPMAT EXAM 2026

IIM Indore introduced a five-year Integrated Programme in Management in 2011. IPMAT is an aptitude test conducted for selecting candidates for this five-year integrated programme. The IPM course is designed for students who want to make a career in management. This course offers a combination of bachelor’s and master's degrees, with a foundation in world-class social science education, followed by management education. The programme has been accredited by the Association of MBAs, London (4th and 5th year).

Candidates will be selected for the IPM programme based on their overall performance in the Aptitude Test (IPMAT) and Personal Interviews (PI). Those who fail either the Aptitude test, the interviews, or both will not be selected for the programme.

IPMAT scores are accepted in IIM Ranchi for admissions in the 5-year integrated programme. There are many other prestigious institutes, such as Alliance University, Karnataka; IIFT, New Delhi; and NALSAR, Hyderabad, that accept this test score for admissions.

IIM Rohtak's IPMAT 2026

In addition to IIM Indore, IIM Rohtak also conducts the IPMAT exam to select candidates for its five-year Integrated Programme in Management (IPM). The IIM Rohatak - IPMAT 2026 is likely to be scheduled in May 2026. Registration is expected to begin in February 2026. Interested candidates can apply for the exam on the official website of IIM Rohtak - iimrohtak.ac.in. The eligibility criteria for the IPMAT conducted by IIM Rohtak are as follows:

• Minimum 60% in standard X/ SSC and standard XII/ HSC or equivalent examinations.
• Maximum 20 years of age as of June 30, 2025.

IIM Rohtak’s IPM Aptitude Test examines the aptitude, logical reasoning, and proficiency in English of the applicants. The table below shows the exam pattern for the IPMAT 2026

Candidates will shortlisted for personal interview on the basis of minimum eligibility criteria and IPMAT Score 2026. The personal interviews are likely to be conducted in June 2026. The Final Merit List will be prepared on the basis of the composite score of IPMAT 2026, past academic performance, and personal interview. 

IPMAT 2026: Eligibility Criteria

IIM Indore has outlined eligibility criteria for the IPMAT 2026 exam. Applicants should review the IPMAT 2026 eligibility criteria before applying.

• Candidates should not be more than 20 years of age. A 5-year age relaxation is granted to SC, ST, and PwD category candidates. In other words, a candidate should have been born after August 1, 2005 and SC, ST and PwD categories after August 1, 2000.
• Candidates applying for IPMAT should have passed Class 12/HSC or equivalent examination in 2023, 2024, 2025 or be appearing in 2026. 
• Candidates should have passed Class 10/SSC or equivalent.

IPMAT 2026: Application Process

Candidates who are eligible for the IPMAT Exam can apply for the same online. Candidates can register themselves on the official website iimidr.ac.in.  Steps to apply for the IPMAT are:

• Go to the official website of IIM Indore - iimidr.ac.in.
• Look for the section Programmes and Click on the tab Academic Programmes.
• Select Five Year Integrated Programme in Management (IPM).
• Go to the Admissions Tab and click on the Apply Online For IPMAT 2026.
• You will be directed to the application form. Enter the information required.
• Upload the required documents and pay the application fee.
• Check all the details entered and click on the submit button.

IPMAT 2026: Application Fee

IIM Indore charges an application fee for applying for the test. The application fee for the aptitude test will be INR 4130. However, there are some relaxations for SC, ST and PwD category Candidates.

IPMAT 2026: Exam Centres

IIM Indore releases a list of 36 cities where the IPMAT Exam is held. Students have to fill an exam centre of their choice in their application form. IIM allots centres on their own discretion keeping in account the choices made by the candidates.

IPMAT 2026: Admit Card

IPMAT 2026 Admit Card will be available a few days before the exam. IIM Indore will be conducting the IPMAT 2026 on May 4, 2026. Candidates can download their IPMAT 2026 hall ticket from the official website of IIM Indore.

For downloading the admit card, candidates can regularly check the announcements section of the official website of the concerned IIM or can follow the steps below:

• Go to the official website of the Indian Institute of Management (IIM), Indore.
• Find the Programme Section on the homepage of IIM Indore.
• Click on the Academic Programme tab in the Programme Section.
• Select Five Year Integrated Programme in Management from the list of programmes offered.
• Go to the Admissions sections and click on the link for Admit Card.
• Enter your Login Credentials and download the Admit Card.

IPMAT 2026: Exam Pattern

IPMAT is a computer based examination for selecting candidates for the 5 year Integrated Programme in Management. The Aptitude Test is for a duration of 2 hours. There are a total of 90 questions. The test has three sections - Quantitative, Qualitative and Verbal Ability.

• Each question will carry 4 marks.
• There will be 4 marks for each correct answer and 1 negative mark for each wrong answer (except QA- SA)
• The Quantitative Ability (Short Answer) will not carry any negative marking.

IPMAT 2026: Syllabus

IIM Indore will conduct the IPMAT exam 2026 for selecting students for its five-year Integrated Programme in Management (IPM). The exam has three sections widely cover the topics of Quantitative Ability and Verbal Ability. The Quantitative ability covers the basic mathematics including number system and the arithmetic ability. On the other hand, Verbal Ability focuses on Vocabulary and Grammar. IPMAT 2026: Answer Key

IIM Indore will release the IPMAT answer key for the exam every year. Usually, two answer keys are released for the exam - Provisional Answer Key and the Final Answer Key. 

The first answer key is a provisional key which is usually released immediately after the exam. Students can raise objections if they find any discrepancy. Later, the final answer key is released by the IIM. The IPMAT Result 2026 will be declared after the final answer key. Candidates can check the answer keys on the official website of the IIM Indore.

IPMAT 2026 Results

IPMAT exam is conducted to select 150 students for a five year Integrated Programme in Management in IIM Indore. IPMAT 2026 is scheduled on May 4, 2026. The IIM is expected to declare the IPMAT 2026 Result of the test within two to three weeks after the examination. Candidates can check the IPMAT Result 2026 on the official website of IIM Indore. The IIM usually releases the results after the release of the final answer key.
