TISS Mumbai Admission 2024: Courses, Eligibility, Selection Process

TISS Mumbai Admission 2024: Tata Institute of Social Science offers a diverse array of courses including UG, PG, doctorate, diploma, certificate, and short-term courses in social sciences, healthcare, law, education, and many other disciplines.

The university boasts more than 5000 students, 19 schools, 5 centers, and around 69 programs.

TISS MumbaiMumbai admissions are fully entrance-based, initially, the university conducts its entrance i.e. TISSNET but now admissions to various undergraduate and postgraduate programs are based on the national level entrance exam, CUET UG, and CUET PG followed by personal interview round.

In addition to regular courses, Tata Institute of Social Sciences provides MA and PG diplomas in Elementary Education and Digital Library Management programs through its Open Distance Learning (ODL) program

Furthermore, applicants must meet the basic eligibility criteria to sit for entrance tests. Students must have completed their 12th grade in the applicable stream with at least 50%–60% of marks in aggregate to take admissions in UG programs. And, candidates seeking PG admissions must possess a bachelor's degree in a relevant field from an accredited university, with a minimum of 50%–60% of grades overall.

For admission to UG courses at Tata Institute of Social Sciences, Mumbai, the CUET UG registration window is currently open. Until March 26, 2024, candidates may submit their online applications for admission. Exams for the same will be held in May.

The common academic eligibility criteria for admission to various PG courses before university-level entrance exams in multiple disciplines are mentioned below.

• For admission to MA

Students should have completed their 3-year BA program with at least 50% marks in the relevant subjects. 

Criteria can vary as per the specialization in terms of compulsory subjects. 

• For admission to MIEMP

• Interested candidates must hold a bachelor's degree in the relevant stream.

• For admission to MPH 

• Interested candidates must hold a bachelor’s degree with at least 55 % marks in aggregate.

• For admission to MLIS
• Interested candidates must hold a bachelor's degree in information science or library science or an associate's degree from DRTC or NISCAIR

• For admission to M.Ed

• Interested candidates must hold a bachelor’s degree in (B.Ed) with at least 55 % marks in aggregate.

• For admission to Master of Laws (Access to Justice)
• Interested candidates must hold a degree in 3 years LLB degree or a BA LLB, BSc LLB, or BBA LLB degree of 5 years with 50-60% aggregate scores.

TISS Mumbai PG Admission 2024: Selection Criteria 

Students willing to take admission to the above-mentioned postgraduate courses are required to appear for the Common University Entrance Test (CUET PG) conducted by NTA. In addition, selected candidates will be called for personal interviews for final selection process.

TISS Mumbai BSW Admission 2024

Eligibility Criteria - Applicants must have completed their 12th grade with a minimum of 50%–60% in aggregate.

Selection Criteria - Required scores in CUET PG followed by PI round are required for final selection

TISS Mumbai Mumbai BASS Admission 2024

Eligibility Criteria - Students must have completed their 12th from any stream 

Selection Criteria - Valid scores of CUET UG exams, followed by PI round.

TISS Mumbai BS Admission 2024

TISS Mumbai offers a BS program with specialization in Analytics and Sustainability Studies  

Eligibility Criteria - Students must have completed their 12th or who have studied International Baccalaureate Diploma

Selection Criteria - Valid scores in the national level exam i.e. CUET UG

TISS Mumbai MHA Admission 2024

Eligibility Criteria - Interested students must hold a bachelor’s degree in the field of public health, medicine, pharmacy, Ayush (BUMS/BAMS/BHMS), BBA, BHA, BSc Nursing, B. Pharma, or a related field with a minimum of 50% overall. 

Selection Criteria - Valid scores in the national level exam i.e. CUET PG followed by Personal Interview round.

TISS Mumbai MA HRM Admission 2024

Eligibility Criteria Students must hold a bachelor's degree from any stream from a recognized university with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate.

Selection Criteria-  Candidates willing to take admission in MA HRM & LR must have secured valid scores in CUET PG followed by a personal interview round.

Eligibility Criteria -  Candidates must have done their masters from a relevant discipline with 50% marks in aggregate or equivalent grades.

Candidates must have studied the relevant subjects in their post-graduation for different specializations.

Candidates who have an M.Phil or equivalent degree are also eligible for Ph.D. program.
