AP TET Exam Pattern 2025: The exam pattern for AP TET is designed by the Department of School Education, Government of Andhra Pradesh. The exam is for those candidates who wish to become teachers for classes 1 to 8. The AP TET official notification is expected to be released soon for the 2025 session. Over the years, no changes have been observed in the AP TET syllabus as well as exam pattern.
The exam pattern helps the candidates to have a better understanding of the weightage of topics and the exam's marking scheme. With the help of the APET exam pattern, candidates can plan their AP TET preparation in accordance with their strengths and weaknesses in particular subjects and topics.
The AP TET exam is divided into two papers - papers I and II. While AP TET paper I is for those candidates who wish to become teachers for classes 1 to 5, paper II is for those candidates who wish to teach students of classes 6 to 8. Both the parts are furthermore divided into two other parts including Part A and B. Candidates who intend to teach students of classes 1 to 8 can appear for both Paper I and II.
AP TET Exam Pattern 2025
According to the AP TET exam pattern laid out by the Department of School Education, Government of Andhra Pradesh last year in the official notification, the exam takes place in two papers. Further, both papers are again divided into two parts including Part A as well B
As per the exam pattern for APTET, both papers consist of 150 multiple-choice questions (MCQs). Each question in the exam consists of 1 mark which makes the total marks 150. Candidates should note that there is no negative marking in the exam for any wrong or unattempted question.
AP TET Exam Pattern 2025: Paper 1 both Parts A and B
Candidates who will be appearing for the AP TET paper I am those who wish to become teachers for classes 1 to 5. Paper I is further conducted in two parts - part A and part B. Steps to Select Language I for AP TET Paper I
Paper I of AP TET offers 6 languages including - Telugu, Urdu, Hindi, Kannada, Tamil, and Odiya. Candidates appearing for the paper have to choose one language out of these 6. Candidates must have studied one of these languages either as a medium of study or as First Language at least up to Class X. Those candidates who have studied CBSE/ ICSE curriculum can select the Language that they have studied up to class x.

AP TET paper II is for those candidates who wish to appear for those candidates who wish to become teachers for classes 6 to 8. Paper II is also divided into two parts - part A and part B. AP TET Marking Scheme 2025
The marking scheme for the exam matters the most for a candidate, as it helps the candidate to understand where they can score marks and where they might lose marks. AP TET marking scheme is given below :
- Candidates must know that the AP TET exam consists of 150 questions, and each question is of 1 mark. Hence, the exam is of 150 marks.
- The teacher eligibility exam does not have a negative marking which means if a candidate attempts a question wrong, then no marks will be deducted for the incorrect answer.
