SSC CHSL Salary 2024: Know Post-Wise Salary Structure, In-hand Salary, Job Description

SSC CHSL Salary 2024: The candidates shortlisted through the SSC Combined Higher Secondary Level examination will be entitled to salary packages under the recommendation of the 7th Pay Commission. The basic salary offered to selected candidates in the SSC CHSL Exam is Rs.19,000–25,000/. Along with that, the recruits will also enjoy several benefits like housing allowances, Travel Allowances(TA) Drearence allowance (DA) and other perks.

The Staff Selection Commission conducts the SSC CHSL exam in order to recruit candidates for the post of Junior Secretariat Assistant, Lower Division Clerk (LDC), Sorting Assistant (SA) Data Entry Operator (DEO), and J Postal Assistant (PA).

SSC CHSL 2024: Post Wise Pay Scale

SSC CHSL recruitment 2024 will be conducted for the following post and each post has a different pay scale: 

• Data Entry Operator (DEO)
• Data Entry Operator, Grade ‘A’
• Lower Division Clerk (LDC)
• Junior Secretariat Assistant (JSA)
• Postal Assistant (PA)/ Sorting Assistant (SA)

The in-hand salary is the amount that a candidate will receive after adding all allowances and benefits along with the dedication corresponding to the post.

SSC CHSL 2024: Post-Wise Salary Deduction

Central government jobs are subject to several deductions. These deductions are done with the prospect of providing additional financial assistance to the recruits of SSC CHSL after the completion of their job tenure. * National Pension System:  It is a voluntary defined contribution retirement savings programme created to empower contributors to make the best decisions for their future by methodical saving throughout their working lives.

** Central Government Employees Group Insurance Scheme: The scheme aims to offer Central Government employees two benefits: a lump sum payout to supplement their retirement savings and an insurance cover to assist their families in the event of death in service, both at a reasonable cost and on a totally contributory and self-financed basis.

*** Central Government Health Scheme: It is a unique health insurance program for government servants. The medical services are offered through Wellness Centers (previously known as CGHS Dispensaries) / polyclinics under the Allopathic, Ayurvedic, Yoga, Unani, Sidha, and Homeopathic systems of medicine.

SSC CHSL Allowances and Perks

Along with good pay, SSC CHSL positions also come with the following benefits and allowances:

House Rent Allowance (HRA): The rate of HRA, which varies depending on the government-proposed classification of cities, has been finalised by the 7th Pay Commission. The HRA's detailed classification is described below:

X= Cities with a population of more than 50 lakhs

Y= Population within 5 to 50 lakhs

Z= Population less than 5 lakhs

Travel Allowance: The chosen applicants for group X cities will receive travel allowances in the amount of Rs 3600, while the other two will receive travel allowances in the amount of Rs 1800.

Medical Allowance: The government will cover all medical costs associated with the treatment of its employees and their families.

Special Security Allowance (SSA): The candidate will receive an additional 20% of basic pay as a special security allowance (SSA) in their gross pay if they work for a special organisation, such as the CBI, IB, or any security agency.

Pension: This is the most alluring perk offered by any government position because it will provide the whole amount deducted as NPS from the basic salary every month during your service tenure.
