SSC CHSL 2023 Salary: The candidates shortlisted through the SSC Combined Higher Secondary Level examination will be entitled to salary packages under the recommendation of the 7th Pay Commission. The basic salary offered to selected candidates in the SSC CHSL Exam is Rs.19,000–25,000/. Along with that, the recruits will also enjoy several benefits like housing allowances, Travel Allowances(TA) Drearence allowance (DA) and other perks.
The Staff Selection Commission conducts the SSC CHSL exam in order to recruit candidates for the post of Junior Secretariat Assistant, Lower Division Clerk (LDC), Sorting Assistant (SA) Data Entry Operator (DEO), and J Postal Assistant (PA).

SSC CHSL Allowances and Perks
Along with good pay, SSC CHSL positions also come with the following benefits and allowances:
House Rent Allowance (HRA): The rate of HRA, which varies depending on the government-proposed classification of cities, has been finalised by the 7th Pay Commission. The HRA's detailed classification is described below:
X= Cities with a population of more than 50 lakhs
Y= Population within 5 to 50 lakhs
Z= Population less than 5 lakhs
Travel Allowance: The chosen applicants for group X cities will receive travel allowances in the amount of Rs 3600, while the other two will receive travel allowances in the amount of Rs 1800.
Medical Allowance: The government will cover all medical costs associated with the treatment of its employees and their families.
Special Security Allowance (SSA): The candidate will receive an additional 20% of basic pay as a special security allowance (SSA) in their gross pay if they work for a special organisation, such as the CBI, IB, or any security agency.
Pension: This is the most alluring perk offered by any government position because it will provide the whole amount deducted as NPS from the basic salary every month during your service tenure.
