XLRI Jamshedpur: Courses, Fees, Admission Process

Fellow Programme in Management (FPM) at Xavier School of Management Jamshedpur (XLRI) is a full-time, residential programme that trains prospective scholars to become highly skilled and innovative researchers, management thinkers and teachers in various aspects of management. The FPM offered by XLRI Jamshedpur is recognized as equivalent to the Ph.D. programme of an Indian University by the Association of Indian Universities (AIU).

The areas of specialization in the PhD programme are Economics, Finance, General Management, Information Systems, Marketing, Productions, Operations & Data Sciences, Organizational Behaviour, Human Resource Management and Strategic Management.

The main highlights of the FPM programme at XLRI Jamshedpur are as follows:

• Candidates willing to apply for admission to the programme must have a valid score in XAT - Xavier Aptitude Test examination. 
• Candidates with a valid GRE / GMAT /  GATE / UGC-JRF / NET score can also apply for the programme.
• Candidates having a two-year full time PGDM / MBA or their equivalent, from XLRI, any of the IIMs, FMS Delhi, MDI Gurgaon, XIMB, IRMA, SP Jain, TISS, ISI or the school/department of management of an IIT with a CQPI of at least 6 on a scale of 8, or equivalent are eligible without any of the test scores mentioned above.
• The minimum eligibility for the course is a two year MBA / Master’s degree or five-year Integrated Master’s degree programme in any discipline from a recognized institution/university.
• Professional qualifications like CA, ICWA, CS are also accepted as minimum qualifications for the Ph.D. admissions.
• Candidates applying for the programme must have scored minimum 55 percent marks in the qualifying degree.
• For direct admission to the Ph.D. programme, candidates with a four Year/eight semester Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (B.E./B.Tech.) with at least 60 percent or equivalent, followed by at least 2 years of relevant work experience, are eligible. 
• Shortlisted candidates will have to appear for the personal interview.
• FPM students are awarded a fellowship of Rs. 45,000/- per month during 1st and 2nd years and Rs. 50,000/- per month during the next two years. No fees (admission, tuition, course material, computer, or library) will be charged from FPM students.
