WBPSC Civil Service (Exe) 2023 prelims exam date is November 5, 2023. WBPSC prelims 2023 admit card will likely be released in the last week of October 2023. Only candidates who registered for the exam will be able to download their admit cards using their registration number and password.

WBPSC Civil Service (Exe) 2022 mains exam is scheduled to be conducted on September 29 & 30, 2023 and October 1 & 3, 2023. 

The West Bengal Public Service Commission (WBPSC) is also accepting applications for the WBPSC Food SI post. The last date to apply for Food SI post is September 20, 2023. WBPSC has announced approximately 480 vacancies for the post. The pay scale for the WBPSC Food SI post is INR 22,700/- 58,500/.

WBPSC Eligibility 2023 

Knowing the prescribed WBPSC eligibility criteria is crucial as ineligible candidates will not be permitted to attempt the exam. The eligibility conditions are based on different factors, including the age of the candidates, their qualifications, and nationality. For certain posts, the physical standards of the applicants may also be evaluated. Hence, to be eligible for the WBPSC exam, candidates must fulfil certain set criteria, including:

  • Age Limit: The required age limit will depend on the candidate’s selected service Group. Candidates for Group A and C recruitment must be between the ages of 21 and 36. Candidates for Group B job posts must be between the ages of 20 and 36.  The age of students applying for Group D job openings should be between 21 and 39 years old. Consequently, the average age range for the WBPSC exam is 21 to 36 years. 
  • Educational Qualification: The minimum qualification that is expected out of the aspirants in order to be considered eligible for the exam is the completion of a bachelor's graduation. The educational requirements may differ based on the job post and examination. However, candidates need a bachelor's degree from a recognized university or its equivalent qualification to be considered eligible. 
  • Nationality: Candidates must be Indian citizens in order to be considered eligible. For certain job postings, they might also need to meet domicile requirements. This means that some exams may stipulate that the only applicants who are qualified to apply should be West Bengal permanent residents or who have lived in the state for a certain period of time.
