TNPSC Group 2 Exam 2024: The Tamil Nadu Public Service Commission (TNPSC) conducts the TNPSC Group 2 examination every year for recruiting candidates for various Group 2 posts. The TNPSC Group 2 exam, also known as, Combined Civil Service Examination -II is conducted by TNPSC for posts like Assistant Inspector of Labour, Sub Registrar, Grade II, Municipal Commissioner, Grade-II, Assistant Section Officer in different departments, Handloom Inspector, Revenue Assistant, and many others. 

According to the TNPSC Group 2 exam pattern, the examination is conducted in two stages: prelims & mains. The preliminary stage is the qualifying stage in which candidates need to clear the minimum cutoff score. The TNPSC cutoff is the minimum marks that candidates must obtain in order to qualify for the next stage of the selection process. 

Latest Updates:

  • The number of vacancies for TNPSC group 2 and 2A recruitment has been increased by addition of 213 new posts. The new number of group 2 vacancies is 2,540.
  • The provisional TNPSC group 2 answer key was released on September 23, 2024. Candidates can raise challenges against the answer key till September 30, 2024. 
  • TNPSC group 2 prelims was conducted on September 14, 2024. 

TNPSC Group 2 selection process includes preliminary, mains, and interview round. Candidates who cleared the preliminary examination are eligible to take the mains examination. It is important to note that the only marks obtained in the mains examination are considered while preparing the final merit list. For posts which include the interview round, the marks obtained by candidates in the interview round are also taken into consideration.

TNPSC Group 2 Eligibility Criteria 2024

The Tamil Nadu Public Service Commission (TNPSC) releases the TNPSC group 2 eligibility criteria on its official website. Candidates who are preparing for the exam must fulfil the eligibility criteria in order to appear for the examination. Students who fail to meet the eligibility requirements will be disqualified from the exam selection process. Education Qualification

Aspirants wishing to appear for the examination must have the required degree to meet the education requirement of the exam. Below are the post-wise minimum education qualifications that candidates must possess along with the other preferred qualifications:

TNPSC Group 2 Application Form 2024

Candidates who fulfil the eligibility criteria can fill out the TNPSC Group 2 Application Form. Interested candidates can check the steps below to fill out the application form:

Step 1: Go to TNPSC's official website.

Step 2: Applicants must complete a one-time registration process after accessing the official website. Registration costs Rs 150 once and is valid for 5 years.

Step 3: Candidates will receive their registration ID and password on their email ID after completing the registration process through mobile number or email address. 

Step 4: Enter your registration ID and password to log in.

Step 5: Enter your personal and academic information

Step 6: Submit your scanned photo and the required papers of the application process.

Step 7: Pay the Rs 100 fee for the preliminary examination.

Step 8: Complete and submit the application

Step 9: Download the confirmation page and save it for later use.

TNPSC Group 2 Hall Ticket 2024

Candidates who successfully register for the examination will receive their TNPSC group 2 hall tickets. It is mandatory to bring admit cards to the examination centre without which candidates will not be allowed to take the exam. TNPSC Group 2 Result 2024

The TNPSC Group 2 result will be announced by the commission on its official website. The result is announced after the successful completion of each stage of the exam. The result contains the name of candidates who are shortlisted for the next stage of the exam selection process. The final result is released after the mains round and interview round for non-interview and interview posts, respectively. 

TNPSC Group 2 Cutoff 2024

TNPSC releases the Group 2 cutoff on its official website after the declaration of the result. The cutoff is the minimum qualifying marks that candidates must obtain in order to secure the position they wish for. The category-wise cutoff is released separately for male & female candidates.
