- The total normalised marks secured in TS EAMCET-2023 will be given first preference.
- The normalised Marks secured in Mathematics in TS EAMCET-2023 will be given preference, if the tie remains.
- The normalised marks secured in Physics in TS EAMCET-2023 will be given preference, if the tie remains.
- If the tie still persists the date of birth of the concerned candidates, the older being given preference over the younger.
TS EAMCET Result: Normalisation of Marks
The TS EAMCET exam is conducted in multiple shifts for candidates who have the same eligibility requirements. An applicant is only permitted to sit for the test in one shift. As the difficulty level of the question paper may differ in each shift, there are chances that the applicants sense injustice in the result issued by TSCHE. It is agreed to implement a normalising technique in order to remove any discrepancies in the difficulty levels of different sessions.
The main aim of employing the normalisation technique is to ensure that no candidates can get an unfair advantage or disadvantage due to exams being held in multiple shifts. The normalisation process helps the conducting body to judge the candidate on a similar scale. The technique reduces the marks of the candidates who took the paper in easy shifts and increases the marks of the candidates who took the paper in difficult shifts. However, it must be noted that this increase or decrease in marks depending upon the shift is marginal.
