IPU CET 2024: Dates, Registration, Eligibility, Exam Pattern, Syllabus, Result

IPU CET 2024 - GGSIU (Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University) released the application forms for IPU CET 2024 on their official website on February 1, 2024. The registration window will be open till March 31, 2024.  According to the official brochure, IPU CET exams are starting from April 27, 2024, to May 14, 2024, and will be conducted both in offline and online mode.

To fill in the application form candidates must visit the official website, ipu.admissions.nic.in. Candidates are advised to fill out the online registration form to appear for the GGSIPU CET 2024. They are advised that he/she should retain a printout/ screenshot of the application form after completion of the online registration process as proof of having completed the application process.

The candidates appearing for the online examination can download their E- ADMIT CARD from the website. 

GGSIPU CET Exam is also known as the Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University Common Entrance Test. It is a university-level exam conducted annually to offer the candidate admission into various undergraduate and postgraduate courses. Applicants will be offered admission to GGSIPU and other associated colleges for B.Tech, BCA, BBA, MCA, and others.

IPU CET result date has not been yet announced by Indraprastha University. However, officials have released the tentative IPU CET Counselling dates. The counselling process for IPU CET will start from June 4, 2024.

IPU CET Eligibility Criteria 2024

IPU CET eligibility criteria is divided into two categories:

IPU CET Eligibility Criteria - Educational Qualification

Candidates appearing for the IPU CET 2024 for UG courses must have a minimum aggregate of 50% in their 12th boards, and candidates appearing for PG courses must have a minimum of 50% in aggregate in the Bachelor’s Degree.

IPU CET Eligibility Criteria - Age Limit

The upper age limit may be relaxed upto a maximum of five years in exceptional cases by the Admission Officer (designated) of the concerned programme. t. However, they would be required to submit to the satisfaction of the Admission Officer an explanation regarding the gap period. 

IPU CET Registration 2024

• To register for IPU CET candidates can visit-  ipu.admissions.nic.in. 
• Candidates are advised that he/she should retain a printout/ screenshot of the application form after completion of Online Registration Process as proof of having completed the process of Online Registration.
• After registering as a new candidate from the official website, revisit the website to fill out the examination form.

IPU CET Admit Card 2024

The admit cards for the IPU CET will be issued after March 31, 2024. Admit cards will be issued to only those candidates who have successfully registered for the IPU CET from the official website. The tentative dates for the issuance of admit cards will be 1 week before the commencement of exams. However, it has not been confirmed by the officials yet. 

Candidates are advised to print out their admit cards and carry them on the day of examination for verification and entry. 

The candidates appearing for the online examination can download their E- admit card from the website after notification. 

IPU CET Exam Pattern 2024

IPU CET exam pattern highlights are as follows:

• The exam will be conducted in offline and online mode. 
• It will be 2hr 30 minutes (150 minutes). Extra time of 50 minutes will be given to differently-abled candidates. 
• There will be a total of 100 questions to attempt in MCQs format. 
• The total marks for the exam is 400 marks. 
• For each correct answer 4 marks will be awarded and 1 mark will be deducted for incorrect answer. 
• IPU CET will be based on subjects like GK, Maths, English, Computer, etc

FOR ONLINE EXAMINATION 

1. Total duration of examination is as mentioned in the E-Admit card.
2. The clock will be set at the server. The countdown timer in the top right corner of the screen will display the remaining time available for you to complete the examination. When the timer reaches zero, the examination will end by itself. You will not be required to end or submit your examination.
3. The Question Palette displayed on the right side of the screen will show the status of each question using symbols.  

The test will consist of 100 questions for 400 marks. All questions are compulsory. 

Duration of the test time – 2 hours 30 minutes. You can login by entering Roll No, PIN and Password.

IPU CET Result 2024

Given below are the steps to check the IPU CET 2024 result:

1. Candidates are required to visit the official website- ipu.ac.in ;
2. Candidates are then directed to click on the Result Link;
3. Followed by which, candidates will have to select their subject;
4. IPU CET Result 2024 will open in the form of a rank list;
5. Candidates are required to save the rank list;
6. Post downloading, candidates can enter the IPU CET 2024 Rank List.

IPU CET Counselling 2024

The tentative dates for the IPU CET Counselling registration are June 4, 2024 to June 7, 2024 as per the officials. All the admissions will be made through counselling to be conducted by the University as per the procedure prescribed in this admission brochure, strictly on the basis of inter-se-merit of the qualified candidates. 

Counselling will be conducted both in the offline and online mode. 

Online counselling tentative dates June 14, 2024 to July 31, 2024. There will be three rounds of online counselling. 

Offline counselling tentative dates are June 14, 2024 to June 26, 2024. There will be two rounds in offline counselling. For all programmes for which offline counselling will be held: Venue of counselling will be notified in the counselling schedule on the University’s website (www.ipu.ac.in).

However, the dates of counselling are tentative and are liable to change. Therefore, candidates are advised to check the University website regularly after the declaration of CET 2024 for any unforeseen change in the schedule.
