IPU CET 2026: Registration (Ongoing) Dates, Eligibility, Exam Pattern, Syllabus

IPU CET 2026 - Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University (GGSIPU) has officially started the Indraprastha University Common Entrance Test (IPU CET) 2026 registration process for Undergraduate as well as Postgraduate programs. Those who are interested in applying for the IPU CET 2026 can visit the official website - ipu.admissions.nic.in. GGSIPU has also announced the IPU Common Entrance Test (CET) exam date 2026 for UG and PG programs, which will be conducted from April 25 to May 17, 2026. candidates can apply for the IPU CET 2026 examination till March 31, 2026. Before applying for the IPU CET exam 2026 candidates must go through the eligibility criteria. 

As per the official notice the IPU CET 2026 registration process is likely to be extended for the candidates. To complete the registration process candidates must pay the application fee of Rs. 2500 through online payment method. More details regarding the IPU CET 2026 exam will be notified later by the examination council. GGSIPU CET Exam 2026 is also known as the Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University Common Entrance Test. It is a university-level exam conducted annually to offer the candidate admission into various undergraduate and postgraduate courses. Applicants will be offered admission to GGSIPU and other associated colleges for B.Tech, BCA, BBA, MCA, and others.

IPU CET Eligibility Criteria 2026

IPU CET eligibility criteria is divided into two categories:

IPU CET 2026 Eligibility Criteria - Educational Qualification

Candidates appearing for the IPU CET 2026 for UG courses must have a minimum aggregate of 50% in their 12th boards, and candidates appearing for PG courses must have a minimum of 50% in aggregate in the Bachelor’s Degree.

IPU CET 2026 Eligibility Criteria - Age Limit

The upper age limit may be relaxed upto a maximum of five years in exceptional cases by the Admission Officer (designated) of the concerned programme. However, they would be required to submit to the satisfaction of the Admission Officer an explanation regarding the gap period. 

IPU CET Registration 2026

To register for the IPU CET exam 2026, candidates need to visit-  ipu.admissions.nic.in. Candidates are advised that he/she should retain a printout/ screenshot of the IPU CET 2026 application form after completion of the Online Registration Process as proof of having completed the process of Online Registration. After registering as a new candidate on the official website, revisit the website to fill out the examination form.

IPU CET Admit Card 2026

The IPU CET 2026 admit card will be released on the official website of GGSIPU. Hall tickets will be issued to only those candidates who have successfully registered for the IPU CET 2026 exam at the official website. Candidates are advised to print out their admit cards and carry them on the day of the examination for verification and entry. Along with the admit card, exam day guidelines for the candidates will also be issued, which should be followed by every candidate on the examination day.

The candidates appearing for the online examination can download their E- admit card from the website after notification. 

IPU CET Exam Pattern 2026

IPU CET exam pattern highlights are as follows:

• The exam will be conducted in offline and online modes. 
• It will be 2hr 30 minutes (150 minutes). An extra time of 50 minutes will be given to differently-abled candidates. 
• There will be a total of 100 questions to attempt in MCQ format. 
• The total marks for the exam is 400 marks. 
• For each correct answer, 4 marks will be awarded and 1 mark will be deducted for an incorrect answer. 
• IPU CET will be based on subjects like GK, Maths, English, Computer, etc

FOR ONLINE EXAMINATION 

1. The total duration of the examination is as mentioned in the E-Admit card.
2. The clock will be set at the server. The countdown timer in the top right corner of the screen will display the remaining time available for you to complete the examination. When the timer reaches zero, the examination will end by itself. You will not be required to end or submit your examination.
3. The Question Palette displayed on the right side of the screen will show the status of each question using symbols.  

The test will consist of 100 questions for 400 marks. All questions are compulsory. 

Duration of the test time: 2 hours 30 minutes. You can login by entering Roll No, PIN and Password.

IPU CET Result 2026

Given below are the steps to check the IPU CET 2026 result:

1. Candidates are required to visit the official website- ipu.ac.in ;
2. Candidates are then directed to click on the Result Link;
3. Followed by which, candidates will have to select their subject;
4. IPU CET Result 2026 will open in the form of a rank list;
5. Candidates are required to save the rank list;
6. Post downloading, candidates can enter the IPU CET 2026 Rank List.

IPU CET Counselling 2026

The University will announce the IPU CET Counselling dates soon for the year 2026 on its official website. All the admissions will be made through counselling to be conducted by the University as per the procedure prescribed in this admission brochure, strictly on the basis of inter-se-merit of the qualified candidates. 

Counselling will be conducted both in the offline and online modes. 

Online: There will be three rounds of online counselling. 

Offline: There will be two rounds in offline counselling. For all programmes for which offline counselling will be held: Venue of counselling will be notified in the counselling schedule on the University’s website (www.ipu.ac.in).
