UPSC Vacancy 2024

UPSC Vacancy 2024 has been released by the Union Public Service Commission on its official website along with the official notification. The commission has released a total of 156 UPSC vacancies this year. Last year, UPSC conducted the CSE exam for a total of 1105 vacancies. The vacancies have been notified by UPSC through its official CSE notification.

UPSC notification 2024 release date is February 14, 2024. The notification will have the complete details on UPSC vacancy 2024. The vacancies will be released post-wise.

The Union Public Service Commission also mentions the vacancy for candidates with disability. As per the UPSC notification 2023, 37 vacancies are reserved for Persons with Benchmark Disabilities. These 37 vacancies include 7 vacancies for candidates with blindness and low vision, 5 vacancies for candidates with deafness, 15 vacancies for candidates with locomotor disability including cerebral palsy, leprosy cured, dwarfism, acid attack victims and muscular dystrophy, and 10 vacancies for candidates with multiple disabilities including blindness and deafness.

UPSC vacancies are important as they are one of the major factors affecting the cutoff. Generally, it is observed that higher vacancies lead to lower cutoffs and vice-versa. Candidates must know the previous year's vacancies to get an idea of the competitive level of the examination. In the year 2022, the total number of IAS vacancies stood at 1011. Since the competition is very high, aspirants must be aware of the detailed UPSC Syllabus and exam pattern.
