B.Sc. (Hons.) in Physics
B.Sc. (Hons.) in Physics is a four year undergraduate programme offered by the Department of Physics, Panjab University. The minimum eligibility for the course is passed in the 10+2 level examination from a recognized board of India. The main highlights of the programme are given below.
- Candidates should have a valid score in PU CET UG, an entrance exam conducted by the University.
- Candidates willing to apply for B.Sc. (Hons.) in Physics must have passed the 10+2 examination with PCM/PCMB/PCB subjects.
- They should have scored at least 50% marks in aggregate in the qualifying degree. There are some exemptions for the SC/ST/OBC/PwD categories of applicants.
- In the selection process, 75% weightage is given to the PU CET UG scores and the rest 25% to the academic records.
- The BSc Hons. in Physics admission is provided for 48 seats. Out of this, 6 seats are reserved for NRIs and 2 for foreign nationals.
