NIT Srinagar Courses: Eligibility, Seat-matrix , Fee structure, Placement statistics and Selection criteria

National Institute of Technology Srinagar offers graduate, post-graduate, and Ph.D. programs in the core engineering areas. At present, the Institute is offering five B. Tech. programmes, five M. Tech. programmes, MBA, MSc.in Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and Ph.D. in Engineering, Sciences, and Humanities & Social Sciences. 

The NIT Srinagar offers BTech and MTech programmes by its departments of Civil Engineering, Computer Science Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Metallurgical and Materials Engineering, Information Technology and Mechanical Engineering. 

NIT Srinagar admits students for its BTech programme on the basis of JEE Main scores and seats to the shortlisted candidates are allotted through JoSAA counselling. Similarly, for MTech and M.Sc.admissions, scores of GATE and IIT-JAM examinations are taken respectively. The common counselling for all the NITs is CCMT for MTech and CCMN for MSc. MBA admissions are based on the scores of CAT/CMAT/XAT while PhD admissions are through NET/GATE/University entrance + interview.
