National Institute of Technology Jamshedpur offers undergraduate, postgraduate and doctoral levels of courses. There are 11 departments with 8 undergraduate programmes, 23 postgraduate programmes and PhD programmes. The courses offered at the institute are BTech, MTech, MSc, MCA and PhD. BTech is the flagship programme of the NIT Jamshedpur. 

The NIT Jamshedpur admission is on the basis of national level tests such as JEE Main, GATE, IIT-JAM, NIMCET scores and the seats for the programmes are allocated through the common counselling processes like JoSAA, CSAB, CCMT, CCMN, and NIMCET. Candidates willing to apply for the courses must check the minimum eligibility criteria for each of these courses.
