Krea University offers a full-time residential research programme leading to award of Degree of Philosophy (PhD). The doctoral programme scholars join the ranks of professors, pioneering scientists, and senior advisors across sectors after the completion of the PhD programme.

The main highlights of the doctoral programme at Krea University are as follows:

• Candidates willing to apply for admission to the PhD program must have a valid score in CAT/ CMAT/ GATE/ GMAT/ GRE/ NMAT/ XAT/ or NET-JRF in UGC / CSIR.
• Those who do not have a valid score in any one of the above exams have to appear for an entrance test conducted by the Krea University. 
• The minimum eligibility for the doctoral programme is a master’s degree or PG diploma or five year integrated master’s degree in a relevant discipline from a recognized university.
• Candidates must have scored minimum 55 percent marks in the qualifying degree. 
• Along with the master’s degree, candidates must have completed the bachelor’s degree with at least 60% marks. 
• Candidates with professional qualifications such as ACA/FAC/AICWAI/ACSI Qualifications of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India, Institute of Cost & Works Accountants of India and Institute of Company Secretaries of India are also eligible.
• Based on the entrance test score, candidates are shortlisted for a personal interview.
• The final selection will be based on the test scores, research proposal, evaluation of past academic performance, research interest, relevant work experience and performance in the personal interview.
