The main highlights of the PhD programme at IIM Ahmedabad are as listed below.

• Candidates willing to apply for the doctoral programme in management at IIM Ahmedabad must have a valid test score in CAT/ GRE/ GMAT/ GATE/ JRF-UGC.
• They must have a two year master’s degree or two year post graduate diploma or five-year Integrated Master’s degree programme in any discipline from a recognised university.
• Professional qualifications like CA, ICWA, CS (with 50% marks) are also accepted as minimum qualifications for the Ph.D. admissions at IIM Ahmedabad.
• Candidates with a 4-year / 8-semester Bachelor’s degree with at least 6.5 CGPA (or equivalent) are also eligible to apply.
• Candidates applying for the programme must have scored minimum 55 percent marks in the qualifying degree.
• Candidates with MBA or equivalent degree from IIMs with at least 6.5 CGPA need not have any of the above aptitude exam scores.
• Shortlisted candidates will have to appear for a personal interview.
• Merit List will be prepared based on written test/ Personal Interview, academic qualification and relevant work experience.
• IIMA provides a comprehensive fellowship that covers all academic expenses including tuition, computer, library, medical insurance, placement and alumni fees, and in addition includes a monthly subsistence allowance.
