IIT Jammu started its journey in the year 2016 with 3 UG programs and has grown now offering UG in 7 programmes, M.Tech in 8 specialisations, M.Sc./MS(R) in 2 programmes and Ph.D. in 11 programmes. In addition to regular M.Tech programme IIT Jammu is also offering Executive M. Tech. for Working Professionals in Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning.
The admissions at IIT Jammu are based on the scores of national level entrance exams. BTech Admissions are based on the JEE Advanced scores and JoSAA counselling. For postgraduate programmes, IIT Jammu admits students on the basis of their GATE and IIT-JAM scores in M.Tech. and M.Sc. respectively.
