IIT Bhilai: Admission, Placements, Courses & Fees
B.Tech. in Mechanical Engineering
B.Tech. in Mechanical Engineering is a four year undergraduate programme in engineering and technology offered by the Indian Institute of Technology, Bhilai. Candidates willing to apply for the BTech admission at IIT Bhilai must check the eligibility and selection criteria given below.
- Candidates must have a valid score in JEE Advanced.
- They must have passed the HSC (10+2) level examination from a recognized board.
- Candidates must also have scored minimum 75% marks in the qualifying examination. There are some exceptions for the reserved categories.
- It is mandatory for them to have PCM/PCMB as subject combinations at 10+2 or intermediate level.
- Candidates are required to participate in the common counselling platform, JoSAA.
- Selection for admission to the course is based on the ranks secured in JEE Advanced through JoSAA counselling.

The tuition fee for the BTech programme at IIT Bhilai is INR 1,00,000 for each monsoon and winter semesters and INR 25,000 for summer semester which is a short semester. The various components of the total fees for each semester are as follows:

For BTech admission at IIT Bhilai, candidates must have:
- A valid JEE Advanced Score
- Passed HSC 10+2 examination with PCM/PCMB
- Scored 75% or above in the qualifying degree
- Participated in the JoSAA counselling
Candidates belonging to SC/ST/PwD must have scored 65% marks in HSC (10+2) and appeared for JEE Advanced for the BTech admissions.
