IIM Rohtak offers a Doctoral Programme in Management (DPM) with an aim to develop high-quality researchers and teachers for academic institutions and to produce top-quality management experts and thinkers for business organizations, government,and society in India and abroad. The DPM programme is a full-time completely residential programme for a duration of four years. 

PhD at IIM Rohtak is offered in Economics & Public Policy, Finance & Accounting, Management Information Systems, Marketing & Strategic Management, Operations Management & Quantitative Techniques, Organizational Behaviour & Human Resource Management.

The main highlights of the DPM programme at IIM Rohtak are as listed below.

• Candidates willing to apply for the doctoral programme in management at IIM Rohtak must have a valid test score in CAT/GRE/ GMAT/GATE/JRF-UGC or Research Aptitude Test (RAT) conducted by the institution.
• They must have a two year master’s degree or two year post graduate diploma or five-year Integrated Master’s degree programme in any discipline from a recognised university.
• Professional qualifications like CA, ICWA, CS are also accepted as minimum qualifications for the Ph.D. admissions at IIM Rohtak.
• Candidates applying for the programme must have scored minimum 55 percent marks in the qualifying degree.
• Candidates with MBA or equivalent degree from IIMs with at least 6.5 CGPA need not have any of the above aptitude exam scores.
• Shortlisted candidates will have to appear for the personal interview.
• Merit List will be prepared based on Personal Interview, academic qualification and relevant work experience.
• IIM Rohtak will not charge tuition fee for the doctoral programme, however, they are expected to pay for their food expenses, electricity & water bill, admission offer acceptance fee, alumni association fee, and any other fee specified by the Institute.
