Graphic Era University (GEU), is known as Graphic Era Institute of Technology (GEIT) established in 1993. The founder of this university is Prof. Dr. Kamal Ghanshala, who had the dream to change the destiny of thousands of youths through his quality of education. 

In 2008, the institute received the status of deemed to be university. The Graphic Era Institute under section 3 of the UGC Act, 1956 approved by the ministry of Human Resource Development, Government of India. 

In August 2022, GEU was granted A+ by National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC), recognized by university Grants Commission (UGC) under section 2(f) Act, 1956 and it is certified with ISO.

In June 2023, as per the NIRF report the Graphic Era University was ranked 62th in the Engineering Category, in Management Category it was ranked 65th, in University Category 55th and overall category the university was ranked 89th.

Graphic Era University offers more than 85 undergraduate, postgraduate and doctoral level courses based on the entrance exam of its own GE CET. The university accepts JEE Mains, NATA, CAT, MAT, XAT.

Firstly, students have to fill the form of eligibility for appearing in the entrance examination. The university accepts entrance exams like JEE Mains, NATA, GATE,UPTU- SEE, UTU-SEE and then they give admission on the basis of the last selection process, which is a personal interview.

• Candidates need to pass 10+2 from a recognised board/ university with at least 45% related to the courses in which they want to take admission.
• The University conducts Personal Interview after appearing in Entrance Examination.

 Graphic Era University- Scholarships to Female

The university has been running a special scholarship scheme for female candidates. Fees concession for female candidates 10% on NET tuition fee, Defence ward fees concession of 5% on NET tuition fee. An additional 5% concession is applicable for the candidates who choose to pay their course fees annually.
