The Kerala PSC KAS exam selection process consists of three stages: Prelims, Mains & Interview. The Kerala PSC result 2025 is released separately for all three stages of the selection process. Kerala PSC Result 2025: Probation Period

  • After the declaration of the final result, selected candidates serve a probation period for a total of 2 years. 
  • The probation term begins on the day the person reports for duty. 
  • The probation term must be completed within three years, incorporating any training that may be given. 
  • The person's performance and suitability for the role will be examined during the probation term. 
  • This assessment is often undertaken to analyse their talents, abilities, and compliance with the organization's norms and laws. 
  • Based on their performance throughout probation, a decision will be made about the person's affirmation in the position, extension of probation, or dismissal from service.
  • Every candidate recruited for the job of Junior Time Scale in the Kerala Administrative Service (KAS) must complete an 18-month intensive training programme. 
  • This training seeks to provide the designated individuals with the required skills, knowledge, and competence to properly carry out their organisational obligations.
  • Delegates participate in a variety of educational modules, practical tasks, and hands-on tasks meant to improve their grasp of administrative processes, management concepts, and ethics in the public sector during the period of training. 
  • The intensive training guarantees that KAS officers are adequately prepared to manage the complexity of their responsibilities while adding to the administrative machinery's effective operation.

After the successful completion of the probationary period, candidates appointed as KAS officers (Junior Time Scale) who have not studied the Malayalam language at the metric level will be asked to take the Malayalam proficiency test along with other departmental examinations.

Candidates must pass these departmental tests and Malayalam proficiency tests in order to confirm their eligibility for the posts.
