• Students who pass the mains exams will be invited to an interview. 
• The interview will be held in person, i.e., offline. 
• The primary objective of the interview round is to assess the candidate's personality.
• The interview panel assesses the candidate's knowledge, skills & abilities, and overall confidence. 
• The panel asks the applicants questions on their educational background, national and internal current events, hobbies and interests, and other topics. 

The interview stage is worth 50 marks. The marks achieved by candidates during the interview phase will be considered when determining the final merit list.

Kerala PSC Exam Pattern 2025: Key Points

The Kerala Public Service Commission (KPSC) releases the notification, which includes key information regarding the exam. Students who are preparing for the exam should know these key points released by the commission:

• The Kerala Public Service Commission releases the provisional probability list after the conclusion of the preliminary exam. The list includes the names of candidates who have cleared the preliminary cut-off released by the commission. The number of candidates who will be allowed to appear in the next stage, i.e, mains examination, will depend on the number of vacancies released by the commission. 
• Candidates on the provisional list must submit the originals of all essential documents to confirm their age, educational credentials, community, service, impairment, and other assertions indicated in their application, as well as a medical certificate, by the deadline set by the Commission.
• Providing questions in Malayalam as well as objective multiple-choice questions in English will be considered when the Government decides on the report of the Committee formed to determine the comparable Malayalam vocabulary for technical terms.
• Candidates whose names are in the provisional list released after the preliminary examination must attend the document verification process on the date, time, and place set by the competent authority.
• The commission will publish the list of those candidates who attended the document verification process and have proved their qualifications stated in the application form. Only candidates who are included in this provisional list will be allowed to appear for the Kerala PSC mains examination.
