Kerala PSC Exam Pattern 2024: The Kerala Public Service Commission (KPSC) releases the Kerala PSC exam pattern 2024 on its official website. Students preparing for the Kerala PSC exam for recruitment under Kerala Administrative Services (KAS) must know the exam pattern. Understanding the exam pattern is important as it helps students know the marking scheme and types of questions asked in the examination.

According to the Kerala PSC Exam Pattern, the selection process consists of three stages: Preliminary, Mains, & Interview. The Preliminary exam consists of two papers: Paper 1 & Paper 2. The Kerala PSC Mains exam consists of three papers. All papers are of 100 marks each. The interview round carries 50 marks. • Students who pass the mains exams will be invited to an interview. 
• The interview will be held in person, i.e. offline. 
• The primary objective of the interview round is to assess the candidate's personality.
• The interview panel assesses the candidate's knowledge, skills & abilities, and overall confidence. 
• The panel asks the applicants questions on their educational background, national and internal current events, hobbies and interests, and other topics. 

The interview stage is worth 50 marks. The marks achieved by candidates during the interview phase will be considered when determining the final merit list.

The Kerala Public Service Commission (KPSC) releases the notification which includes key information regarding the exam. Students who are preparing for the exam and want to appear for it must know these key points released by the commission. Interested candidates can check the key points mentioned in the notification below:

• The Kerala Public Service Commission releases the provisional probability lists after the conclusion of the preliminary exam. The list includes the names of candidates who have cleared the preliminary cutoff released by the commission. The number of candidates who will be allowed to appear in the next stage, i.e, mains examination will depend on the number of vacancies released by the commission. 
• Candidates on the provisional list must submit the originals of all essential documents to confirm their age, educational credentials, community, service, impairment, and other assertions indicated in their application, as well as a medical certificate, by the deadline set by the Commission.
• Providing questions in Malayalam as well as objective multiple choice questions in English will be considered when the Government makes a decision on the report of the Committee formed to determine the comparable Malayalam vocabulary for technical terms.
• Candidates who have been named in the provisional list released after the preliminary examination must attend the document verification process at the date, time, and place set by the competent authority.
• The commission will publish the list of those candidates who attended the document verification process and have proved their qualifications stated in the application form. Only candidates who are included in this provisional list will be allowed to appear for the Kerala PSC mains examination.
