Kerala PSC Eligibility 2024: The Kerala Public Service Commission (KPSC) conducts the Kerala PSC exam to recruit candidates for different posts under Kerala Administrative Services (KAS). The Kerala PSC KAS posts are divided into three streams: STREAM-1, STREAM-2, and STREAM-3. The eligibility criteria for posts under different streams may vary. 

Aspirants preparing for the exam must fulfil the Kerala PSC eligibility criteria released by the Kerala Public Service Commission. A candidate can be disqualified at any stage of the selection process if it is found that he/she does not fulfil the required eligibility requirements. The eligibility criteria are divided into academic qualifications and age limit.

Note: Officers seeking for STREAM-2 must receive a certificate from the Controlling Officer declaring that they do not occupy the Ist Gazetted rank or higher in the Department listed in Schedule-1 of the KAS Special Rule 2018.

Note: The candidate applying in STREAM-3 should obtain a certificate from the Controlling Officer stating that he/she is holding an Ist Gazetted post or above in the Department mentioned in Schedule-1 and equivalent post in Common Categories listed in Schedule-1 of KAS Special Rule 2018 and against whom no major penalty has been imposed or proceedings for major penalty or criminal proceedings are in progress, and the certificate should be produced a copy of the certificate. 

Kerala PSC Eligibility 2024: Age Limit

Candidates must fall within the age limit as per the Kerala PSC Eligibility 2024. The age limit criteria for all three streams are different. Interested students can check the table below to know the Kerala PSC age limit criteria.

The State Government of Kerala also offers age relaxation to candidates who belong to reserved categories and wish to appear for the Kerala PSC examination. The Category-wise age relaxation can be checked in the table below:

Kerala PSC Eligibility 2024: Medical Certificate

Aspirants must also fulfil the medical requirement as stated by the commission. The commission wants to be ensured that the said candidate is Physically & Mentally FIT for the post of KAS (Junior Time Scale). All candidates who wish to apply for the post of KAS (Junior Time Scale) must obtain a Medical Fitness Certificate. The certificate must be obtained from a Medical Officer, not below the rank of an Assistant Surgeon. Aspirants will be asked to produce the certificate by the commission during the allocation of service.
