To be selected, candidates must pass a written test, document verification, computer skills test, and pre-employment medical examination. The details of the same have been given below:
Written Test / Computer-Based Test
The details of the written test/computer-based test are as follows:
- Test Duration: 2 hours (extra time allowed to PwD/ PwBD candidates)
- Objective-type exam with four answer choices for each question
- The exam consists of two parts: Part-I [Professional Knowledge (PKT)] with 120 questions and Part-II [Aptitude Test (AT)] with 50 questions
- All questions carry equal marks (1 mark)
- Wrong and multiple answers will result in a negative marking of ¼
Document Verification & Computer Skill Test
The Computer Skill Test is a qualifying test, and the qualifying marks are 50% for Unreserved/ EWS candidates and 40% for reserved category candidates if the respective category has reserved posts in the respective region.
Empanelment of Candidates
- All candidates who pass the Computer Skill Test (CST) will be ranked in order of merit based on their written test scores
- The final merit for selection will be decided based on the written test scores only, but candidates must first pass the CST, which is a qualifying test and does not count toward the final merit
- Candidates will be shortlisted for empanelment based on their qualifying category and in proportion to the number of vacancies in that category
Offer of Appointment & Pre-employment Medical Examination
- Powergrid will make job offers to the most qualified candidates in the order of their merit, based on the company's needs
- However, candidates must be medically fit to work at Powergrid, as determined by a pre-employment medical examination conducted according to Powergrid's health standards
