CUET Answer Key 2026: The National Testing Agency (NTA) has released the Common University Entrance Test Undergraduate (CUET-UG) answer key 2026 on June 9, 2026, on its official website, cuet.nta.nic.in. The CUET UG answer key 2026, which has been released by the NTA, is provisional in nature. Candidates who appeared for the examination can download the CUET UG 2026 answer key using their login credentials on the official portal. As the provisional key is out, students can raise objections against it till June 11, 2026

NTA also releases the individual response sheets for candidates. The CUET 2026 response sheet displays the responses marked by the candidates during the CUET UG exam 2026. Candidates can estimate their potential scores by comparing their recorded responses to those provided in the CUET answer key. It must be noted that the challenges can be raised against the answer key only with the support of proof or relevant documents.

NTA will release the CUET Result 2026 after successfully conducting the exam on its official website. Following the release of the results, participating colleges will invite students for CUET UG counselling 2026 based on the marks and rank obtained by candidates.

CUET Answer Key 2026

The NTA has released the provisional answer key for the CUET exam 2026 on June 9. Candidates can check the answer sheet on the official website of the National Testing Agency. The answer key and the response sheet are displayed only for two or three days.

If a candidate finds any discrepancy in the provisional answer key, he/she can challenge the key on the link provided on the official website. The window to challenge the answer key opens with the release of the answer key. This CUET answer key challenge window is open till June 11, 2026. Candidates who wish to challenge the answer key have to pay a non-refundable fee of INR 200 per question to submit their challenges.

CUET Answer Key 2026 - Steps to Download

Candidates can check the steps listed below to know the procedure for downloading the answer key.

Step 2: Find the tab for CUET UG 2026 on the homepage and click on it.

Step 3: You will be redirected to the CUET Exam page.

Step 4: In the latest news section, you will find the link for the provisional answer key.

Step 5: On clicking the link, the provisional answer key will appear.

Step 6: Download and print for future reference.

CUET Answer Key 2026: Response sheet

Before declaring the CUET result, NTA releases the response sheet, which contains the responses recorded for each question by the candidates who appeared in the CUET exam 2026. The response sheet is available for candidates to check only for a limited period of time.

CUET Exam 2026: Marking Scheme

The marking scheme of the CUET UG Exam is given in detail in the official information bulletin. Candidates can check the marking scheme given below:

• For each correct answer, candidates will be awarded five marks.
• For an incorrect answer, one mark will be deducted.
• For the unanswered or marked for review questions, no marks will be given.
• If more than one option is found to be correct, then five marks will be awarded to only those who have marked any of the correct options.
•  If all options are found to be correct, then five marks will be awarded to all those who have attempted the question.
•  If none of the options is found correct, or a question is found to be wrong, or a question is dropped, then all candidates who have attempted the dropped question will be given five marks. 

CUET Answer Key 2026: Raise Objections

Candidates who are not satisfied with the answer key are given a chance to challenge the key. NTA charges an Answer Key Challenge Fee for each answer challenged, as only paid challenges are taken into consideration. Those who challenge the answer key also have to provide a justification or evidence supporting their answer. The CUET answer key can be challenged only through the link provided on the official website. 

How to challenge the CUET Answer Key?

Candidates can follow the procedure given below to challenge the CUET answer key.

• Go to the CUET exam page on the NTA website, cuet.nta.nic.in.
• Find the link for the CUET Answer Key Challenge 2026 in the latest news section.
• Log in with your Application Number and Date of Birth.
• Go to the Question ID that you would like to challenge and select the correct answer.
• Upload the document supporting your answer by clicking on ‘Choose File’.
• Click on ‘Submit and Review Claims’, and your claim will be displayed.
• Make the payment of INR 200 per question.
• Submit the form and save the receipt.

How to Calculate Scores Through CUET Answer Key 2026

Candidates can predict their scores before the announcement of the CUET result through the CUET answer key. To calculate the scores, candidates will have to follow the marking scheme. Check the marking scheme here. 

• For each correct answer, 5 marks will be awarded.
• The 1 mark will be deducted for each incorrect answer. 
• For unattempted answers, the NTA will award 0 marks

CUET Final Answer Key 2026

The challenges to the CUET Answer Key will be checked by the subject experts at the NTA. The final decision regarding the answer key will be made by the NTA. No further objections will be entertained, and candidates will not be notified individually about the outcome of their claims. The final answer key will be released before the declaration of the CUET result 2026.

CUET Result 2026

NTA will be releasing the CUET UG Result 2026 likely in July 2026. Candidates can check their results on the official website. No revaluation or rechecking of results will be entertained. The CUET 2026 score will be valid for admissions in the undergraduate programme for the academic year 2026-2027 only.
