Karnataka DCET Counselling 2024: Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA) released the official counselling schedule for DCET 2024 at cetonline.karnataka.gov.in/Kea. The exam-conducting body has released the provisional seat allotments for round 1 of counselling on July 21. Candidates can check the status of allotted seats by visiting the official website and entering the DCET number in the designated field. 

Upon checking the status of allotted seats, candidates can download their seat allotment letter and complete the self reporting process. Self reporting entails uploading of required documents and payment of admission fee.

Candidates who have qualified in  Karnataka DCET 2024 are eligible to participate in the counselling process. The official authorities released the seat matrix and fee details on July 4, 2024. Candidates were required to enter their preferred colleges and courses in the order of priority before July 18, 2024. The web option entry is now closed.

Karnataka DCET Seat Allotment Date 2024

Karnataka Examination Authority will conduct the online seat allotment process by obtaining the options from DCET Rank holders for admission to 2nd year BE / B.Tech courses and for 1st year Architecture course. Seats are allotted on the basis of the merit and priority of options entered by the candidates.

The DCET Seat Allotment 2024 for Round 1 has been published at the official website along with the cut off. Candidates can download the seat allotment order by signing into the 'Candidate portal' using their DCET number. Before the seat allotment, the conducting body released mock seat allotment on July 11 (6 PM).  The image of the login window is given below for reference.

Karnataka DCET Counselling Process

The Karnataka DCET counselling process involves the following steps.

Step 1: Go to the official website and register for the DCET 2024 counselling process.

Step 2: Select your preferred colleges and courses.

Step 3: Seats will be allotted to the candidates taking into consideration the rank of the candidate, options selected and seats available.

Step 4: Candidates will be notified to submit the original documents along with attested photocopies at the designated venues

Step 5: Once the documents are submitted, candidates can pay the fee online to confirm their admission

Step 6: After receiving their allotted seats, candidates satisfied with the selection must complete online reporting and finalise admission procedures at the designated institute.
