JAC 12th Result 2026: The Jharkhand Academic Council announces the JAC inter results in online mode. It is expected that the JAC class 12 results will be out in the months of May / June 2026. However, following the past year trends, the Jharkhand board 12th result for different streams will be released separately. While the JAC 12th science and commerce is expected to be released by the last week of May, the results for Jharkhand board class 12 arts stream will be out later. 

Students will be able to check the results on the official result website of the board - jacresults.com. They will be required to enter their login credentials including roll code and roll number in designated spaces to check their scores online. It must be noted that the original/final mark sheets can be collected by the students from their schools after some time. Meanwhile, students can provisionally download their JAC 12th mark sheet through the official websites for Arts, Commerce and Science streams.

Last year, the JAC 12th Result for science and commerce streams was declared on May 31, 2025. However, the Jharkahnd board intermediate result for Arts stream was out on June 5, 2025. A total of 2,27,222 students from the Arts stream appeared for the JAC 12th exam 2025. Out of this, 2,17,273 candidates passed, resulting in overall pass percentage of Arts stream to 95.62%. 

The overall pass percentage for JAC 12th exam science stream, last year, stood at 79.26% while that of commerce stream was recorded at 91.2%. Girls have outperformed in both the streams and the best performing district in Jharkand 12th science and commerce was Latehar. The JAC Board 12th exams were conducted from February 11 to March 4, 2025.

Jharkhand Board Class 12th Result 2026: Passing Criteria

To pass the Jharkhand Board 12th exam, students must score at least 23 marks out of 70 in each subject, and at least 33 marks out of 100 in the overall exam. If a student fails to meet these requirements, he/she will not be declared passed.

Provision for Grace Marks 

The Jharkhand Board gives grace marks to students who fail the exams by a small margin. The following are the criteria for awarding grace marks:

• A student who fails in a subject by less than 5% of the total marks will be given the grace marks to pass the subject.
• A student who fails in two subjects by less than 3% of the total marks in each subject will be given the grace marks to pass both subjects.
• A student who falls short of 5% or less in obtaining a higher division will be given the necessary marks to be awarded a higher division.

The grading system used by the Jharkhand Board to calculate the JAC 12th class result is as follows:

After the Jharkhand Intermediate Examination results are announced, the Jharkhand Academic Council (JAC) will release applications for rechecking and revaluation of class 12 results.

It must be noted that

• Students who wish to apply for rechecking or revaluation must fill out an application form and pay a fee of INR 200 per subject
• Applications for revaluation can only be submitted through the school that the student attended
• It is important to note that marks may increase or decrease after revaluation. If the marks decrease, no objections will be entertained. The revised marks will be considered as the final marks

JAC 12th Compartment Exam 2026

Students who fail one or two subjects in the JAC 12th board exams can appear for the JAC 12th compartment exams. Also, those who have passed the JAC 12th exam but want to improve their scores, can appear for the improvement exams conducted by the board. The improvement exams are only for the theory papers, and the practical marks will not be changed.

The application form for the compartment exams will be released within a month of the announcement of the results. The compartment exams are usually conducted in the month of June, tentatively and the results for the same are released in the month of July.
