UPSC CMS Result 2025: Qualifying criteria

Students who appear for the UPSC CMS exam have to achieve qualifying marks to pass the exam. The UPSC CMS qualifying marks for the non-PwBD candidates are set as 25% (each paper), whereas candidates belonging to the PwBD category get a minimum of 10% qualifying marks for each paper. 

Candidates should be aware that they need to qualify for both papers in order to be eligible to appear for the UPSC CMS interview round. UPSC has a provision of tie-breaking rules in case two or more candidates score the same marks.  As per UPSC CMS Tie-breaking rules, a tie will be resolved by giving preference to a candidate who is older in age. If a tie still persists, the date/year of completion of the internship will be considered to resolve the issue.

UPSC CMS DAF refers to the application form which candidates need to fill. Only those candidates who have qualified the UPSC Written exam will be eligible to fill the UPSC CMS DAF.
