MTech (Aerospace Engineering)
IIT Kharagpur offers a two year MTech - Aerospace Engineering programme to the candidates who have a four year bachelor’s degree in engineering or technology. They should have scored at least 60 percent marks or 6.0 CGPA on a 10 point scale in the qualifying degree. Additionally, Candidates aspiring to get admitted to the masters programme in engineering and technology must have appeared for the GATE examination and registered to COAP for the counselling process.
Eligibility:
- The minimum eligibility for IIT Kharagpur MTech is a bachelor’s degree in engineering or technology with at least 60 percent marks
- Students must have a valid GATE score
- They are also required to participate in COAP Counselling
Fees:
- The tuition fee for the M.Tech program at the IIT Kharagpur is INR 5,000 per semester.
- Candidates from SC/ST/PWD categories are exempted from the tuition fee.

This fee does not include one time payments, security deposits to be paid at the time of the admission, hostel charges and other semester charges for the masters programme in engineering at IIT Kharagpur. Candidates willing to apply for the MTech admissions at IIT Kharagpur must have a four year bachelor’s degree in engineering or technology. They must have secured at least 60 percent marks or 6.0 CGPA on a 10 point scale in BTech. A valid GATE score is also mandatory for the selection process. Further, the counselling for the MTech programme is based on the common counselling process, COAP.
Candidates belonging to the SC/ST/PwD category must have secured at least 55 percent marks or 5.5 CGPA on a 10 point scale for MTech Admissions at IIT Kharagpur.
