• Familiarise yourself with the CAT Exam Pattern

It is important to be aware of the multiple sections of the examination, the time duration for completing the test as well as the type of questions that can be asked. CAT Exam Pattern 2025 comprises three sections; Quantitative Ability, Data Interpretation & Logical Reasoning and Verbal Ability & Reading Comprehension. 

• Create a study plan

Dedicate specific hours each day to study and focus on different sections. Set time aside for practice, revision and mock tests. Candidates can benefit from regular practice sessions filled with full length mock tests to simulate the exam environment. This will also allow them to identify their strengths and weaknesses. 

• Work on Vocabulary and Reading

CAT DILR Preparation Tips 

• Review all DILR sets for 5-7 minutes to identify the easiest and most difficult ones. Focus on answering the easiest sets first, leaving the hardest for later.

• Create a Study Plan: Divide the preparation into phases. Allocate the first three months for concept building in each section and the next two for practice and mock tests. Reserve the final month for revising weak areas and taking full-length mock exams.
