As per the NIOS eligibility criteria for class 12, the candidate’s age must be 15 years or above. Along with that, the candidate must have passed the secondary course from a recognised board. Once the eligible candidates have completed the NIOS registration process, they will be receiving the NIOS 12th Admit Card 2023 a few days before the examination.

NIOS Class 12 Registration 2023-24: Eligibility Criteria

The NIOS eligibility criteria for class 12 is available on the official NIOS website. Students are advised to check the following eligibility criteria before moving on to the NIOS 12th registration 2023:

• The candidate must have acquired 15 years of age or above
• The candidate must have passed the secondary course from a recognised board

NIOS 12th Registration 2023-24: Documents Required

While registering for the NIOS class 12 exam, students will have to submit/upload scanned copies of the following important documents:

• Candidate’s recent passport-size colour photograph
• Candidate’s signature (preferably in black ink)
• Valid identity proof (Aadhaar Card, Passport, Ration card etc.)
• Valid proof of Date of Birth (Aadhaar Card with date of birth printed on it in the dd/mm/yyyy format, Birth Certificate etc.)
• Valid Residence proof (Aadhaar Card with complete address printed on it, Passport etc.)
• Valid address proof (aadhaar card, water bill, electricity bill, voter ID, ration card, Indian passport, statement of operational bank account, appointment letter from the employer on printed letterhead, if living in rented accommodation, submit a copy of any proof of permanent address along with present rented agreement)
• Class 10th marksheet 
• Social category/Caste certificate (if the candidate belongs to SC/ST/OBC social category)
• Ex-serviceman certificate (if relevant) 
• Disability certificate (if relevant)
• Submit a Fail Mark sheet of previous Board (if not provided, Transfer of Credit (TOC) marks will not be updated in NIOS result)
• If transfer of credit (TOC) board marked with (*Other) is selected, then the result should be available on the respective board’s website or the candidate has to submit result verification letter from the relevant board

Steps for NIOS Registration 2023-24 for Class 12

Students are required to follow the following steps in order to successfully register for the NIOS 12th examination 2023:

• Visit the official website of NIOS, i.e., sdmis.nios.ac.in
• Click on the register, read the instructions and then click on the proceed button
• Then, select your state and the identity type which can be your Aadhar number, passport, ration card etc.
• Next, enter the number of your selected identity type 
• Then, select the course you want admission into (which could either be a secondary or senior secondary course) and then click on the submit button
• The NIOS 12th registration form 2023 will be displayed on your screen
• The NIOS registration form is divided into 4 sections, that is, basic details, optional details, subject selection and study centre selection
• Carefully enter all the required information in the NIOS registration form
• Review the registration form and make the necessary corrections before the final submission
• The last step is to pay the required fee via an appropriate payment gateway

NIOS 12th Registration 2023-24: Fee Details

Students who wish to enrol in the NIOS senior secondary courses 2023, must be aware of the following fee payment details:

Fee for Dual Enrolment / Part Admission / Transfer of Credit (TOC) (Stream -1)

Fee for Streams - 2, 3 and 4

Transfer of Credit (TOC) Fee for all Streams

NIOS 12th Registration 2023: Important points regarding Fee Payment for Online NIOS Admission

• Candidates can pay their NIOS admission fee via two modes:

1. Pay fees online via Credit Card /Debit Card/Net Banking
2. In case, the admission is done via Common Services Centres (CSCs), fee could be paid via Electronic Wallet of CSCs

• Candidates must note that along with the above mentioned fees, Rs. 50 will be additionally charged as the cost of online application form for all Streams (Stream 1, 2, 3 and 4)
• Candidates must also note that NIOS will accept the admission fee only via online mode and no other modes of payment like cash, cheque, demand draft etc. will be accepted
• Only the CSC and NIOS AIs (Study Centres) are authorised by NIOS for facilitating the candidates to take admission online
• No other agencies are authorised by NIOS for doing online admissions
