Visvesvaraya National Institute of Technology, Nagpur offers undergraduate, postgraduate and doctoral level programmes in the disciplines of engineering, architecture and science. The institute offers the engineering programmes through its Departments of Chemical Engineering; Civil Engineering; Computer Science and Engineering; Mechanical Engineering; Metallurgical and Materials Engineering; Mining Engineering; Electrical Engineering and Electronics and Communication Engineering. The NIT also has departments of Architecture, Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and Humanities and Social Sciences offering UG, PG and PhD programs.

The VNIT Nagpur offers 9 under-graduate programs including 08 B.Tech and 1 B.Arch. and 24 post-graduate programs including 21 M.Tech and 03 M.Sc. Under graduate students are selected through JEE Main examination and Post-Graduate M.Tech students through GATE and M.Sc. through JAM. The institute also has Ph.D. programs in various streams of engineering and science.
