NIT Delhi B.Tech admission mandates a Higher Secondary Certificate degree (10+2) with PCM/PBM and a minimum of 75% marks. Subsequently, seat allocation is determined based on the JEE Main score, and the counseling process is managed by the Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSSA). For the academic year 2021-2022, NIT Delhi had a sanctioned intake of 710 students under the UG programs, comprising 526 males and 184 females. The tuition fee for NIT Delhi's B.Tech program is INR 64,500 per semester. 

NIT Delhi M.Tech admission mandates a bachelor's degree with a minimum CGPA of 6.5 or 60% marks for the GEN/EWS/OBC category. Alternatively, candidates from the SC/ST/PwD category should have a CGPA of 6.0 or 55% marks. Additionally, candidates need to qualify in a national-level exam such as GATE, and seat allocation is based on the GATE score through the Centralised Counselling (CCMT) process. For the academic year 2021-2022, NIT Delhi admitted a total of 138 students under the PG programs, including 102 males and 36 females. The M.Tech tuition fee for General/OBC candidates is INR 35,000 per semester, while SC/ST/PWD/PH candidates are exempted from paying tuition fees.

The National Testing Agency (NTA) has announced the JEE Main 2023 cutoff ranks for round 6. Computer Science and Engineering emerged as the most sought-after specialization, with closing ranks of 9930 for other states and 4278 for home state aspirants. Artificial Intelligence and Data Science followed closely with closing ranks of 10,334 for other states and 10091 for home state candidates. NIT Delhi M.Tech Admission 2024
