NIT Delhi Admission 2025: Admission across various B.Tech Flaghship courses offered by NIT Delhi is based on marks obtained by students in JEE Mains examination followed by registering for the common seat allocation process. The Joint Seat Allocation Authority has yet to release its JoSAA opening and closing ranks for NITs, IIITs, and IITs. The opening and closing rankswill be disclosed in the list along with all the participating universities. JEE Main counselling is done through JoSAA with release of several rounds of seat allotment list for B.Tech courses. The JoSAA counselling for the year 2025 will start and the authority will release its seat allotment.

NIT Delhi Admissions 2025: Eligibility and Selection Criteria

The National Institute of Technology, Delhi (NIT Delhi) facilitates admissions to undergraduate (UG), postgraduate (PG), and Ph.D. programs encompassing engineering, basic sciences, humanities, and social sciences. Admission to these diverse courses at NIT Delhi is contingent upon performance in various national-level qualifying exams such as JEE Main, GATE, CSIR-NET, UGC-NET, and IIT JAM. Following successful exam results, candidates undergo a counseling process conducted by JoSSA for UG programs, and CCMT/CCMN for PG programs. Notably, NIT Delhi's flagship courses include B.Tech and M.Tech.

NIT Delhi B.Tech admission mandates a Higher Secondary Certificate degree (10+2) with PCM/PBM and a minimum of 75% marks. Subsequently, seat allocation is determined based on the JEE Main score, and the counseling process is managed by the Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA). For the academic year 2021-2022, NIT Delhi had a sanctioned intake of 710 students under the UG programs, comprising 526 males and 184 females. The tuition fee for NIT Delhi's B.Tech program is INR 64,500 per semester. 

NIT Delhi M.Tech admission mandates a bachelor's degree with a minimum CGPA of 6.5 or 60% marks for the GEN/EWS/OBC category. Alternatively, candidates from the SC/ST/PwD category should have a CGPA of 6.0 or 55% marks. Additionally, candidates need to qualify in a national-level exam such as GATE, and seat allocation is based on the GATE score through the Centralised Counselling (CCMT) process. For the academic year 2021-2022, NIT Delhi admitted a total of 138 students under the PG programs, including 102 males and 36 females. The M.Tech tuition fee for General/OBC candidates is INR 35,000 per semester, while SC/ST/PWD/PH candidates are exempted from paying tuition fees.

NIT Delhi B.Tech Admission 2025

NIT Delhi B.Tech Cutoffs 2025

The National Testing Agency (NTA) will announce the JEE Main 2025 cutoff soon. Last year, Computer Science and Engineering had emerged as the most sought-after specialization, with closing ranks of 9930 for other states and 4278 for home state aspirants. Artificial Intelligence and Data Science followed closely with closing ranks of 10,334 for other states and 10091 for home state candidates. A detailed course-wise cutoff for the previous year is available for all specializations.

Admission to the two-year master's program at NIT Delhi is open for both full-time and part-time modes. Applicants in the GEN/EWS/OBC category should have a bachelor's degree with a minimum of 6.5 CGPA or 60% marks, while SC/ST/PwD category candidates require a 6.0 CGPA or 55% marks, along with a valid GATE scorecard. The application process includes registration for GATE 2024, which has already commenced. It is crucial for interested candidates to complete the form promptly to avoid late fees. Successful candidates will proceed to the Centralised Counselling (CCMT) stage. The program duration is 2 years for full-time students and 3 years for part-time students. NIT Delhi M.Tech Cutoffs 2025

The CCMT 2025 cutoff is yet to release. For admission at NIT Delhi 2023 Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) in round 3, the maximum GATE marks for open-category students are 558, while the minimum is 510. Additionally, course-specific cutoffs for other disciplines are provided below:
