UPSC CAPF Vacancy 2023: The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) releases the UPSC CAPF Vacancy along with the official notification. The CAPF notification 2023 will be released on April 26, 2023. The CAPF exam 2023 is scheduled to be conducted on August 06, 2023.
The CAPF Vacancy is released by UPSC for filling vacant seats in Border Security Force (BSF), Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF), Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP), Central Industrial Security Force (CISF), and Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB). The vacancies are subject to the discretion of concerned authorities and may change every year. The number of vacancies listed in the notification is subject to change. CAPF Vacancy Trend
The table for the last five years of CAPF vacancies is provided above. One can infer there is no set pattern for the number of openings announced by UPSC for the CAPF exam from the table above. The number of vacancies increased by 94 in 2022, but in 2021 there were 50 fewer vacancies than in 2020. While the number of positions increased significantly in both 2019 and 2018.
CAPF Reservation Rules
- For any vacancy that may be fixed by the government, reservations will be made for applicants from the Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes, other Backward Classes, and Economically Weaker Sections categories.
- Candidates will only be qualified to take advantage of the Economically Weaker Section Reservation if they meet the requirements established by the Central Government and are in possession of the necessary eligibility documentation.
- Candidates for the OBC category who are applying for the CAPF (ACs) Exam in 2022 must present an OBC (Non-Creamy Layer) certificate that is based on their income for the Financial Years (FY) 2021–2022, 2020–2021, and 2019–2020.
- Additionally, once a candidate selects a reserved category, no requests to switch to another reserved category will be considered.
