Dr. D. Y. Patil Vidyapeeth, Pune: Dr. Dnyandeo Yashwantrao Patil Vidyapeeth (DPU) was established on January 11, 2003  under Section 3 of the UGC Act, 1956 by the Government of India. Located in Pune, Maharashtra, India D.Y Patil Vidyapeeth is deemed to be a university comprising Dr. D. Y. Patil Medical College, Hospital and Research Centre, Pimpri, Pune. DPU has got NAAC ‘A++’ grade accreditation with recognition by the University Grants Commission (UGC). It is spread over a 43 acre campus offering more than 80 courses and a total of 632 faculty members. The university aims to provide providing quality education while fostering a vibrant academic environment.

DPU is a prominent educational institution in India, known for its excellence in various fields of higher education comprising 13 institutions offering education in diverse fields such as Medicine, Physiotherapy, Dentistry, Nursing, Biotechnology, Management,Optometry, Ayurveda and Homeopathy. It started with one constituent unit i.e. Dr. D. Y. Patil Medical College, Hospital and Research Centre, Pune. Admissions to various programs are based on entrance exams, merit based performance, and other criteria specific as per the requirements of the course.Some of the popular national level entrance based admission accepted by the university are NEET, JEE advanced, MHT CET and AIAPGET (ALL INDIA AYUSH POST GRADUATE ENTRANCE TEST). Every year Patil Vidyapeeth witness a good amount of students placed across multiple companies with 99% students successfully securing placement in the year 2023 with a median package of INR 25.45 LPA for MD/ MS (Doctor of Medicine (MD) and Master of Surgery (MS)) courses and INR 6.55 LPA for BDS (Bachelor of Dental Surgery) , followed by INR 9.91 LPA for MDS (Masters In Dental Surgery) respectively.

DPU Admissions 2024

Admissions for the academic year 2024-25 are ongoing, the last date for application in various UG and PG programmes, Online Proctor Based All India Entrance Test is 30 June, 2024 from 11.00 am to 12.30 pm. For All India Online Entrance Examination PhD programmes is 14 July 2024, followed by the last date of application being 30 June, 2024.

DPU Placements 2024

In terms of placements Dr. D. Y. Patil Vidyapeeth has flourished its placement statistics over years, reflecting the institution's strong industry connections and constant support from the Training and Placement Cell. The highest and median package offered varies from one course to another. For the 2023 batch, the highest package offered was INR 13.5 LPA, with the average package being INR 4.6 LPA. The Median salary varies depending on the type of course and usually ranges between INR 3.50 LPA and INR 10.50 LPA for courses across UG and PG level.

Companies like Finolex, Berger, Zota Healthcare, Deloitte, NJ Group, Team Computers, and Bajaj Auto are some of the prominent recruiters during DPU placement drive .Additionally the university also offers internships to its students enrolled in different courses to enhance practical skills and managerial practices.In the year 2024 the highest package for MBA stood 21 LPA with an average CTC of 6.6 LPA, observing 86.61% of placement success rate.
