The All India Entrance Examination for Design (AIEED) is a national entrance exam conducted by the ARCH College of Design & Business for admission to undergraduate and postgraduate design programs. This exam is designed to assess candidates' creativity, design thinking, and aptitude for various fields related to fashion and design. 

The AIEED is conducted over multiple dates and follows a two stage selection process. Stage I is a Creative Ability Test (CAT) and a General Ability Test (GAT). Shortlisted candidates progress to a virtual interaction with the panel. Lastly, the results are declared, based on which final admissions are offered.

The eligibility criteria to appear for AIEED 2025 differs for undergraduate and postgraduate students. 

  • For Undergraduate (UG) Level Courses, students who have appeared for or cleared their Class 12 (from CBSE, ICSE, IB, State Boards, NIOS, or any equivalent board as per UGC guidelines) are eligible to participate in the AIEED screening for Design Studies. Additionally, students currently in Class 11 can also take the AIEED 2024 exam. If they qualify, they will be eligible for direct admission in the academic year 2025 after successfully completing the interaction and Portfolio of Assessment (PoA) stages.
  • For Postgraduate Level Courses, graduates or students currently pursuing graduation in any discipline from a recognized university are eligible to apply.

AIEED 2025: Selection Process

Stage I: Psychological Endowments for Design (PED)

In the first stage, candidates must complete tasks related to Psychological Endowments for Design (PED), followed by the Creative Aptitude Test for Art (CATA) tasks. Along with these, they will also submit a Portfolio of Abilities (PoA) and Statement of Purpose (SoP).

Stage II: Interaction

Candidates who successfully complete Stage I will be invited to an interaction stage, where they will get the opportunity to present themselves and their work further.

Stage III: Result Declaration 

After completing the previous stages, results will be declared based on a candidate’s overall performance in PED, CATA tasks, the interaction, and the submitted PoA and SoP.
