NIT Sikkim Admissions 2025: Admission across various Undergraduate, Postgraduate, and doctorate programmes are offered in multiple specialisations by the Nation Institute of Technology Sikkim. The institute offers a B.Tech at the undergraduate, M.Tech, M.Sc at the postgraduate and PhD at the doctorate level. The admission process is based on the scores obtained by the individuals in the national-level examination conducted by the concerned authorities.

An individual must qualify JEE main examination to secure admission to B.Tech courses which is followed by the JoSAA common seat allocation process. The institute offers a two-year M.Tech degree based on the marks obtained in the GATE examination and CCMT counselling, whereas the admission criteria for M.Sc is followed by candidates appearing for IIT JAM or IAT followed by CCMN counselling. Admission to PhD courses is subject to a GATE/NET score and a personal interview round conducted by the institute.

Josaa has released five rounds of the seat allotment lists on its official website. The opening rank for admission against the first round of seat allotment to B.Tech for the open category is 42970 and the closing rank is 49671 for Civil engineering, whereas the second and third round of seat allotment has also been released by the authority.

Students with a B.Sc degree with a minimum of 60% of marks can apply for pursuing an M.Sc from the National Institute of Technology Sikkim. The first-semester fee for M.Sc admission is INR 15,701. Interested students must fulfill the eligibility and selection criteria mentioned below to be granted admission to M.Sc.
