NIT Silchar Admission 2024 - The National Institute of  Technology Silchar (NIT Silchar) is a multidisciplinary institution that offers students the opportunity to study and specialize in a variety of fields. in engineering, basic sciences, humanities, social sciences, management, etc.

NIT Silchar's most popular programs are its B.Tech. and M.Tech. programs. To be admitted to the B.Tech. program, students must have a Higher Secondary Certificate degree (10+2) with at least 75% marks. Seats are allocated to candidates based on their JEE Main rank, followed by a counseling process conducted by the Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA). In 2022, the minimum JEE Main rank required for admission to the B.Tech. program was 7300. In the academic year 2021-2022, NIT Silchar admitted 825 students to its UG program.

To be admitted to the M.Tech. program at NIT Silchar, students must have a graduate degree with a minimum CGPA of 6.5 or 60% marks for the GEN/EWS/OBC category, or a minimum CGPA of 6.0 or 55% marks for the SC/ST/PwD category. Seats are allocated to candidates based on their GATE score, followed by a centralized counseling process. The minimum GATE score required for admission to the M.Tech. program in 2023 is 400. In the academic year 2021-2022, NIT Silchar admitted 368 students to its PG program.

NIT Silchar offers a variety of undergraduate engineering programs, including Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering, and Architecture. To apply for the B.Tech program at VNIT Nagpur, candidates must have a Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) degree with at least 75% marks and a valid JEE Main score. NIT Silchar offers 24 M.Tech. programs in a variety of disciplines, including Chemical Engineering and Computer Science and Engineering. To be eligible for admission, students must have a bachelor's degree in engineering from a recognized university or college with a minimum CGPA of 6.5. However, please note that this is just the minimum eligibility requirement. Admission to the program is competitive, and students must perform well on the GATE exam and participate in the CCMT Counseling process. Candidates who have cleared the GATE exam with good percentile can register themselves for CCMT councelling at ccmt.admissions.nic.in. The important dates for same are tabualted below.

NIT Silchar Ph.D. Admission 2024

NIT Silchar offers PhD programs in a wide range of disciplines, including engineering, science, humanities, and social sciences. To be admitted to the program, students must have a valid GATE/UGC-NET/GPAT/CSIR-NET score (depending on their discipline), as well as pass a written test and interview. They must also have completed a master's degree in a relevant discipline from a recognized university or college.

The NIT Silchar has opened the application form portal for admission to Phd programmes for the July 2024 session. The application window has been opened on April 25, 2024.
