The National Institute of Food Technology, Entrepreneurship and Management (NIFTEM - T) is located in Thanjavur, Tamil Nadu. It was established in 1967.The institute has ranked 13th in the Agricultural and Allied Sector as per the NIRF Report 2023. NIFTEM-T has a world-class high-tech food testing laboratory that has been approved by the National Accreditation Board for Testing and Calibration Laboratories under ISO/IEC. It is also an FSSAI Referral Laboratory in India.
The Honourable Union Minister of Food Processing Industries has rechristened IICPT as Indian Institute of Food Processing Technology. Apart from this, there are upscale boarding houses in the institute with separate spaces for boys and girls. NIFTEM-T Entrance Exam Eligibility 2024
Firstly, students have to fill the form of eligibility for appearing in the entrance examination. The university accepts entrance exams such as JEE Mains,JoSAA counselling and NIFTEM-T entrance exam which is a university level. Admission is then granted based on the results of the final selection procedure, which consists of a personal interview of the candidates.

NIFTEM-T Scholarship 2024
Scholarship for Merit-cum-Means in B.Tech
Available to the first five students in each batch at a rate of Rs. 1,000 per month, provided they have a minimum GPA of 7.5 the previous semester.
Establishment No-cost Studentship A minimum GPA of 7.5 from the previous semester is required. One student per batch is eligible to apply, at a cost of Rs. 5,000 every semester.
Establishment Hypothetical Award A certificate of merit and a one-time notional prize of Rs. 5,000 will be given to each batch of second through fourth year students depending on their placement in the prior year.
Anil Adlakha Scholarship Award: A second-year B.Tech (FT) student receives a scholarship worth Rs. 10,000 for demonstrating exceptional achievement in their first year.
Scholarship Details: M.Tech. Programs: Institute Merit Scholarship: Available to 2 eligible students from each program for the Institute Merit Scholarship during the first year of the program at Rs. 5,000/- per month subject to a minimum CGPA of 8.0.
MoFPI Scholarship: Available to the top 5 eligible students from each program for outstanding performance in the first year at Rs. 10,000/- per month subject to a minimum CGPA of 8.0.
Scholarship for GATE Qualified Students: Available to the top 3 GATE qualified students for each M.Tech program during the regular study period at Rs. 10,000/-per month.
Scholarship details: PhD Programs: Free Studentship at the Institute Available for two qualifying students each program for the Institute Free Scholarship in the first year of the program at a monthly rate of Rs. 5,000, contingent upon a minimum CGPA of 8.0.
Scholarship MoFPI Available to the top five qualifying students in each programme for exceptional first-year performance at a monthly cost of Rs. 15,000, contingent upon a minimum CGPA of 8.0.
