M.Tech. in Mechanical Engineering
IIT Goa offers M.Tech in Mechanical Engineering for a duration of 2 years. Admission to the postgraduate engineering programme is based on GATE score and COAP Counselling. The eligibility, selection criteria and fees for the M.Tech. course at IIT Goa are given below:
- Candidates applying for the MTech programme at IIT Goa must have a valid GATE score.
- They are also required to register to the COAP portal. However, the application form will be available on the official website of IIT Goa.
- The qualifying degree for the post graduate programme is B.E./B.Tech/MSc with 60% marks.
- Candidates with BTech degree from IITs with minimum CGPA 8.0 are eligible for the course without any GATE score.
- Final admission will be offered based on the merit in GATE.
- The tuition fee for the M.Tech program at IIT Goa is INR 5,000 per semester.

The total fee for the MTech programme at IIT Goa is INR 1,75,400 for all the four semesters. This fee includes tuition fee, semester charges, one time admission fee, security deposits and annual medical insurance premium. The components of the total fees are as follows. For M.Tech. admission at IIT Goa, candidates must have:
- A valid GATE score
- Registration to the COAP portal
- Passed B.E./B.Tech/MSc with 60% marks
- Candidates with BTech from IITs with at least 8 CGPA are eligible to apply without GATE scores
Candidates belonging to the SC/ST/PwD categories must have 55% marks in the qualifying degree.
Candidates belonging to the SC/ST/PwD categories with 7.5 CGPA in BTech from IITs are eligible to apply without GATE scores.
