AIL Mohali Admissions 2025: Courses, Eligibility and Fees

Army Institute of Law Mohali commonly known as AIL Mohali is one of the two Army Law Institutes in the Country. Affiliated to the Punjabi University, Patiala AIL Mohali functions under the Western Command of the Indian Army, Chandimandir. 

AIL Mohali offers a five-year BA LLB and One-year LLM program as degree programs in Legal studies. Admissions to AIL Mohali are determined through the National-Level Law entrance exam conducted by the institution. The notifications for the same are released by the Punjabi University in April. Candidates willing to take admissions in AIL need to appear for the exam and the counseling round followed by the exam.

Army Institute of Law Mohali is focused on the upliftment of the armed forces families and providing education. AIL has 75% of seats reserved for wards of armed forces personnel. The remaining 20% of seats are reserved for candidates with Domicile of Punjab, other 5% of seats are for general civilians. 

Wards of Armed forces personnel and general civilians need to appear for the entrance test in order to take admissions, but admissions for candidates with domicile of Punjab are done based on 10+2 merit.
